The only stat the corndogs won was in the rushing category. And with that I'll tip my hat to them.

Sorry. We won the only stat that matters.

- defense is a wash
- bama's offense is slightly better
- lsu's special teams are much better
- lsu is more physical and has more depth considering the number of banged up players bama had and how lsu physically dominated overtime.

A) We beat you fair and square at your place with two weeks to prepare.

B) I've heard over and over, you outplayed us. Finebaum, "If Bama and LSU played 10 times, Bama would win 9" ; "Bama is clearly the better team".

HELLO. NEWS FLASH. There are 3 phases to football. Offense - draw. Defense - draw. Special Teams - LSU. You were also outcoached. What coach in his right mind would put his kicker in that position set up for failure 4 times? that's the definition of outcoached. punt the ball, take the field position ohh Godly Nick Saban, you tiny dipshit of a man. "DURP DURP, maybe the 4th kick from 40+ will go in...."

Then there's the....
"Bama just didn't take advantage of the scoring opportunities we had. Bama lost the game, LSU didn't win it" Really? And how many missed opportunities on our end are you not counting that could have blown the game wide open. Two sides to that argument homers.

C) How is it fair that you sit at home with your feet kicked up while we have to go play in the SEC championship and win to have a shot to play you again for NC when we've already beaten you once? You get an easier route to the NC when you lost in the first place?

D) The media respects you. The polls clearly indicate that. The media and BCS wouldn't be in this predicament if they'd of dropped Bama's ranking after the loss.

Your main problem is that outside of the southern United States, SEC Country, no one wants to see a rematch. I live in Houston and am a diehard LSU fan and always pull for the SEC. My coworkers talk about how boring that game was and how no one would watch it. when reality is, it would crush ncaa football tv ratings likely.

Therefore I feel if LSU beats Arky, wins the SECCG, and OSU beats OU....OSU will be our opponent due to the human poll factor and the media throwing a fit about the rematch.

Again, no one but us SEC homers wants an ALL-SEC BCSNCG.

With all that being said...

i'm not opposed to a REMATCH, I feel as if, if we want, we should earn it. and if that's beating Bama in our own backyard and squashing this nonsense of Bama being the 'better team'....then bring it on.

here are the sec only stats, which factor out differences in non-conf schedules...

LSU is #1 in scoring defense, pass defense and pass efficiency defense. Bama is #1 in rush defense and total defense. BTW, LSU rushed for 3x your SEC average against you. Bama rushed for about LSU's def. average.

but you have to look at their wins and accomplishments, as well as their losses, 2 better wins should offset 1 worse loss, for example.

It would be refreshing and wonderful if LSU fans made this argument but MOST of you aren't. Almost the entire argument against Bama getting a rematch is based solely on what's "fair" to LSU. That's literally the meat of the entire argument from most LSU fans. Based on this particular argument #2 Alabama could have played and beaten the #3, #4, #5, #6, and #7 ranked teams in the BCS this year and because they happened to lose to the eventual #1 ranked BCS opponent earlier int the year a 1 loss unranked #8 that didn't lose to LSU deserves that spot regardless of how good or bad their resume is. That's basically the Rantard argument regarding Alabama not being deserving and it's illogical and insane.

Bama D-195 yards a game
LSU D- 247

LSU's punter is better. Do you have a kicker than
can make 50 yard field goals consistently?

More physical my arse. Goal line stand in overtime forces LSU to kick field goal.

I don't understand the "UT beat LSU.." argument from Bama fans???

Wasn't UT in the SECCG the second time around?

Thought so...

Look, I can understand the argument from both LSU and Bama fans. Both would have a LEGITIMATE case, but right now winning is more important.

If LSU & Bama end up in rematch, so what? I think it will be another great game. It will actually put more pressure on Bama and Nick Saban then it would on LSU. Bama is still being tagged as the best team in the nation, yet they're the ones with something to prove. LSU will go into the game as an underdog, despite them clearly taking care of their business.

I say BRING IT ON!!!

Bama fans. I haven't read the whole conversation but let me ask you this. If you aren't saying life isn't fair and by your logic Auburn should have made it to the national championship game in 2004 correct?

Wtf is all this "unfair" bullshite from LSU fans? LSU has to play the two games they have no matter what. Even if they play frickin Florida Gulf Coast in the NCG. STOP BITCHING ABOUT THAT. This is about the #2 spot in the BCS. It's about Alabama and OSU and a few others. STFU and keep kicking arse and being awesome. This shite is not about you and y'alls feelings don't matter.

regardless of the teams, don't you agree that, in this case, losing the head to head matchup could actually be a benefit? I think that is my main issue with this...not having to play the same team twice.

"Goal line stand" means you stopped a team, not held them to a field goal. LSU didn't have a goal line stand either; Bama never got close in OT.
