Intent has nothing to do with targeting. Anyone inserting that into the argument is idiotic of the rule.

I should have said it was one of the plays the game turned on. Another one would be when Pribula had a receiver with nobody within 15 yards of him and and no one between him and the end zone and threw it 20 feet over his head. We had to punt

One of you is named Bama and the other just plays on Alabama.

They call targeting because someone was hurt. No review? Georgia player actually targets and no call. Just saying. Football is sissy today.

LSU fans kept warning us about Bama refs. I didn’t believe them.

Now I do.

In person it looked like a good hit. But I could certainly see why it could be considered targeting. I think taunting is really the stupid penalty to get rid of. It’s called inconsistently and doesn’t endanger anyone.

While you are going though these personal transformations, might I also suggest you spending a couple minutes flipping through the rule book so you can understand the game going forward? That might help you.

I did. The rule book and still shots of the shoulder hitting the chest was all the evidence I needed.

You don’t see forcible contact to the head or neck area? Really?

They review every single targeting penalty automatically.

You slow in the head or just playing around like you are?

Literally don't stand over an opponent and call him a pussy as bitch, and your good. You can celebrate with teammates after every play if you want.

This whole thread is sad. From the LSU fan starting it, to the Missouri fans blaming the loss on a first quarter targeting call and not their QB throwing two horrible picks in a close game.

Or players could just not taunt.

Dude was lying there like a baby.

There was “taunting” every play the very next game and no calls. Could easily be handled with a warning.

It’s almost as stupid of rule as “forcible” (whatever the hell that means) contact to the head or neck “area” (whatever the hell that means) and “when in doubt” (whenever the office wants a penalty) it is a foul. Just a little less stupid because it at least requires the crew acting on it so there is at least a sliver of accountability.

All you have to do is c3lebrate with your team and you dont get called. Don't stand over somebody and call them a pussy arse bitch. Its pretty cut and dry, no?

That’s part of the game. Who cares. Football is more fun when you talk trash.

The Rant is too damn retarded during the week. I can tolerate the dumb bullshite on Saturday when many of y’all are well on your way with Mr. Daniels and the High Life. I just can’t otherwise. Probably because I’m the sober one. lmaooo

Jack Tatum, Rodney Harrison and John Lynch would be proud of that hit. I'm not defending it. I'm just saying that the game has changed. Receivers used to know that they were fair game going across the middle and that they had better look out for that safety and their own safety.

The early taunting call was BS. That happens multiple times/game in most games & gets called whenever a ref uses their discretion. Mizzou up 7-0, say they get a stop on 3rd & way long, Bama punts, Mizzou scores again 14-0 lead, changes the entire game. Thin margin, but refs don’t need to be deciding games over that kind of BS.

Yeah - I know, I've never seen anyone from Alabama or any other team for that matter get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Just Mizzou.

And if you are referring to the targeting call as being a thug move you really don't seem to know much about playing defense.
