OU is one of the top 5 all
Time programs. They got that way because they gave perhaps cheated better than any program in college football and for a longer time. Bud Wilkinson was paying players and winning games a long time ago. Used to be kind of a joke among OU fans. Win a championship and go on probation. A great trade off.

You frickn cheating hicks always brag about your tradition & how you built a solid sports program in a dump of a state, but always forget to mention the cheating. The real reason OU has good sports in 2026. Built on a foundation of decades of cheating.

The real difference between Mizzou and OU is that when the SEC adds a 9th conference game, Mizzou complains and cries about it and OU fist pumps.
That's the reason the programs have such different traditions, not some stupid excuse about paying players (which literally every school did).

But you have your 1969 co-conference football championship trophy you can dream about or your TWO national championships. Why do they play varsity sports. They’re not very good at the whole sports thing

The first time the Big 12 was falling apart the idiot OU chancellor tried to act all tough once CO, Nubs, ATM & Mizzou left, and said they weren’t going to be wallflowers in conference realignment.
