First, take out the garbage: FIU, UNT, MSU, UK, Chattanooga. I gave him the benefit of the doubt with Arkansas.

Va Tech: 15/30 230 yards 1TD and 1INT
Arky: 17/24 291 yards 3 TD
@Ole Miss: 15/34 147 yards
South Carolina: 10/20 92 yards and 2 INTS
Tennessee: 18/29 120 yards
LSU: 19/34 276 yards 2TDs and 1 INT
@Auburn: 21/31 218 yards 2 TDs
Florida: 12/18 239 yards and 1TD
Texas: 6/11 58 for yards

1536 yards
170.7 Yards Per Game
116/231
50.2% Comp. Percentage
9TDs/4INTs

The Florida game was impressive. He had a good game versus LSU. One of the things that really surprised me when examining his stats relative to his schedule: he played ONE game on the road that I would consider a hostile environment. This year, he will play @Arky, @South Carolina, @UT, and @LSU. That's a much more imposing road schedule than he faced last year.

All of this in my opinion equals GAME "MANAGER" AT BEST. To me, all of this, on average, equals Greg Mcelroy will do just enough to not frick up and lose the game single handedly for the team. If your role on the team is to not lose the game for the team, you suck. He is the equivalent of a right fielder in little league.

...with a NC ring on his little league finger while all of these world beaters are sitting around with their thumb up their arse.

And now I challenge you to give us Ryan Mallet's stats against the SEC.

Every good QB is a game manager. Tell me what Greg McElroy can't do as a QB.

Or Jordan Jefferson's and Pick Six Lee. It's 3 weks before the season starts and LSU doesn't know who their QB is going to be. All QB's combined in todays scrimmage were 10 of 22.

Mcelroy is 14-0 as a starter at Alabama and 22-0 in games that he has played in there. The proof is in the pudding my friends.

I agree. Every good QB is a "game manager". However, being a "game manager" does not mean that you are a good quarterback. It doesn't even mean that you're an average quarterback. So, while good quarterbacks are game managers, that is not the only quality they possess as a quarterback.

He probably CAN do a lot of things. However, based on last year's performances, he didn't crack 60 yards on Texas.

And what were his average minutes in the garbage games? Let's put it all on the table while we're being realistic.

Not an apples to apples comparison. You're mentally deficient if you do not see that you cannot make a fair comparison between Mallett and Mcelroy.

Mcelroy has the intangibles that you want. He is a winner, leader and he has heart. That can make up for a lot of things at the end of the day. Mallet has better physical skills but he does not have those three intangibles on the level that Mcelroy does,

Interesting you used the word cracked. He played with two cracked ribs against Texas.

He did however have his BEST game against UF, who entered the SECCG as the #1 defense in the NATION. Can't explain that one away.

AND you still didn't answer my question...What can McElroy not do as a QB that someone who isn't just a "game-manager" can?

Then make another thread and give us the truth about Mallett.

He did have a good game against UF. I agree. You asked me what he COULD not do. I don't know what exactly Greg Mcelroy is capable of; that's a ridiculous question. I only know how he played last year, and on average, he did not single handedly lose a game for Bama. That was his job.
