Low to mid tier program before Miles & Saban? Yet, pretty high on list of all time wins and bowl games. I've seen you post this narrative a few times. You don't seem that stupid, so what's the basis for it? I'm curious. I certainly remember those days and low to mid tier seems a little ridiculous.

Not 100%. But y'all are pretty fricking crazy, even by SEC standards.
I was born in Louisiana, and lived there a couple years as a kid, and 5+ years as an adult. I've also lived or worked considerably in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas and North Carolina (pretty much everywhere in the South except Mississippi). And y'all are definitely the most intense fan base. That level of intensity can be a good and bad thing.
And that's being nice as possible about it. I think a lot of it has to do with the history of Louisiana, and the Acadian people.
