The best way I know to describe it is that it's like the aftermath of an EMP strike that has destroyed all civil infrastructure, yet somehow the internet is still around and people are posting about how much the end of civilization sucks and how angry they are at the leaders who let things get to that point.

I just took a peek. Decided not to comment because that would be like walking through Gettysburg and kicking the corpses.

You read what you want to read to fit your narrative. Several posters have been very good, giving excellent insight. Namely Oldgraycoat and Tigerinlawyer

I'm just shocked tbh. I hated hiring the shrimp boat captain, but I assumed it would be a slow, painful demise. Needless to say Yaw wasted no time crashing his airboat into our practice facility

A little insight from someone who doesn’t post often

My profession places me in front of what would be referred to as “major” boosters in both a professional and personal setting. I wouldn’t call myself a major booster, and this isn’t a brag thread. Watching the game last night with several boosters and one board member, the disgust and contempt for LSU, specifically Joe Alleva, administrators such as F. Alexander and certain board memebers, was intense. There was some very real division and heated discussion from different camps last year and especially since the MSU game. Dissenting voices were being silenced. Anyone at the end of last season that spoke out against hiring Orgeron were ignored and have continued to be until this point. Now, the pro Ed camp is turning on each other in an attempt to save face and their positions. These people don’t care about LSU outside of the power generated by holding a high ranking position. Some within our university are attempting to use the school itself as leverage for better positions within the school and out. None wants to accept responsibility. The school has become a highly politicized game where one side plays by different rules than the other. Our school is in danger. It’s not just football. Where do you think JBE gained the confidence to speak publicly about closing the school? It’s a game. And LSU is the means to an end for some. LSU is devoid of any real leadership and those that possess it and have the means to implement real change are being silenced. God Bless our Tigers. Troubling times ahead.

Great. We're Texas. Without the prestige.

Its like the LSU fans who can't remember or didn't experience LSU pre-Saban are finally being introduced to reality.

Where in that post did you get the sense that that poster wasn’t familiar with LSU football pre Saban? Are you fricking stupid? Or just looking for upvotes?

Orgeron is Macgruber, carefully molding his team into the ultimate football killing machine, before loading them all into a van and accidentally blowing them up with C4.

It does?

Texas has prestige, still, even if it exceeds what their actual accomplishments are.

LSU? Historically low-mid tier program outside of the Saban-Miles era.

Are you at attempting to imply that the Tiger Rant is not in full-on nuclear meltdown mode?

You should have told Maryland that. Seems they forgot about your prestige. Oh wait. I get it now. You’re a Texas fan masquerading as a Baylor fan on an SEC message board, living vicariously through the accomplishments of a by gone era. frick off.

Hypothetical for you.

Texas and LSU have a job opening.

They both want the same coach.

Which gets stuck with a D-line coach not good enough for Ole Miss?

Hell no. I’m not saying that. I’m saying it’s unfair to paint an entire fan base in this light based of the musings of a large collection of retards with zero connection to LSU beyond their purchase of the latest shirt from the circle K. Especially when there has been some very good posts and insight into our current predicament.
