SEC title was decided last week. The tournament is meaningless. I watched a combined 3 innings out of the 40 or so played yesterday. Loser of the late game yesterday, that started close to 11pm, will be moving back to the park about 8hrs after they got back to the hotel.

It's the worst run tournament in all of sports with zero regard for the players. It's just the SEC trying to cram in a fund raising event before regionals.

If athletic directors and school presidents actually cared about the athletes they would refuse to show up, especially the top seeds, as they are already going to host in the post season, no matter what.

I love college sports but at some point you have to admit that the athletes often get treated like cattle. In many ways they are provided with excellent treatment that no other student could hope for, but in things like this tournament, it's just a disrespect for their health and their time and the ultimate goal of getting to Omaha to win a national title.

It is unbelievable that someone is this big of a pansy to actually write this.

It’s not meaningless per se there are just larger goals to follow that the tournament has little effect on. Thrilled if they win, not a big deal if they don’t.

Jesus you guys kill me, yes everyone wants to win but only at the cost of not overusing pitchers. Most will be on a pitch count, you think LSU going to let PS through 125 pitches today heading into regionals. Don't be f'ing stupid when it's a perfect situation you can play 4 games use entire bullpen to get reps like arkansas did a few years back, other than that no it's not worth burning regulars up.

That is your loss, not ours. You missed a couple of the best college baseball games of the year so far. Back to back 11 inning walk off games. Without looking I can bet that has never happened before.

Most of his stuff is pretty lame, at least the posts I was unfortunate to come upon anyway.

Agreed, some good baseball and anyone watching these athletes play can see they give a damn, but coaches are not going to wreck their pitchers and rotations to win either.

I have attended 12 SEC Baseball tournaments. (Not there this season.) It is a very well run event given what the format is. Tons of fans and folks do care about playing and winning that event.

Yes, and the regular season leading up to it. If God intended us to watch college baseball he wouldn't have made the NY Yankees.
