The SEC stood on the premise

That they wouldn't throw LSU out if they bent the knee, gave up and backdoor.
LSU bent the knee, gave up and backed down.
So the SEC happy with this result are moving forward and as last checked haven't given up anything and don't need to punish a member who bent the knee even though they made bunch a noise like they would never.

That is not at all what the filing said

Keep focusing on this bullshite while the B1G continues to boat race us because of Sankey's incompetence. Think of yourself as a Finebaum caller. I hope we leave the conference this morning.

No. They stood on hypocrisy, selective persecution and vendetta.
The NCAA deserves the majority of heat for where college football is but the conferences, particularly the major ones, participated and supported the lies of the so-called amateur student athlete.
There is not a principled major college athletic program in the country and there never has been. It's always been about the Benjamins.

Sankey is fired jover this ust as soon as the SEC can claim he's not being fired over this. And LSU's already small legal jeopardy is 100% over and done with. But the SEC's has only begun. The player lawsuits are about to avalanche even if LSU doesn't pursue racketeering charges against Sankey, OM, and TN. Racketeering of which they are indisputably guilty. And Sankey's smear campaign run through Finebaum and other lapdog "media" is as clear a breach of feduciary duty as you'll ever see played out in public.

LSU fans have absolutely gone full retard over all of this. tRant has been absolutely unreadable for weeks. Hopefully this weekends slate of games will sweep all this stupidity aside as focus on games on the field moving forward.

Check my posting history I have spoken against Sankey for years and gotten downvoted for it.
Doesn't change the fact LSU bent the knee so the SEC spared the rod.

I'm not the one defending why my team caved and abandoned what they wanted to ensure they didn't get thrown out of the conference
For me it's just interesting watch how delusional you guys can get spinning things so much just to create a facade that you've somehow won something.
Nothing was won.
The SEC showed dominance and restrained a member and the member ended up showing humility and bent the knee.

The SEC was leaking through its chosen media that they were punishing LSU regardless. Suspending its coach etc etc.
Our president said “have your vote to kick us out, make my day”
The SEC did nothing and backed down

LSU were leaking through their chosen media they would do what they want, TRO everything so those players could play and they would play them because they wouldn't be punished, they leaked they would sue if they couldn't play them
Then after their tantrum concluded and liquor wore off they bent the knee.
So the SEC spared the rod.

The SEC “stood on the premise” and will have to pay out millions to the players whose rights they violated to do it.
WIN
WIN

LSU and Kiffin said over and over again that if they were not eligible to play that they would not play. Other fanbases and national media have created fan fiction over this that just isn’t true.
