I’d add that they should consider kick g out Florida too

Not because we’ve done anything wrong but as an act of mercy.

We can go to the Sunbelt (to replace JMU) or ACC (since FSU and Miami are already there).

Maybe the B1G will take us in and make us perma rivals with Rutgers since that’s the B1G equivalent program of UF

I hope the SEC kicks LSU out with no actual violations broken.

LSU will sue for so much money the NIL fund will be maxed out for a decades.

LSU doesn't get to disregard conference rules and then expect a massive payday if the SEC holds it accountable. The arrogance of assuming LSU can do whatever it wants and somehow come out the victim is exactly the problem.

Allegedly all a bunch of bs. So the SEc can cry foul and sue an institution for making its own decisions in protection of an individual? Ok. We shall see.

except that ole miss rostered two basketball players that played in NBA summer leagues
explain the difference?
Bama rostered Bediako and played him in sec games with no repercussions from the sec
explain the difference?

In the court of law, not court of opinion, LSU has not broken any laws or rules yet. The SEC however sees this as a threat and wants to make an example of an institution, LSU in this case. Which I understand, I do not like it but I understand.

However, if the SEC expels LSU from the conference for not actually breaking a law it would be an even bigger lawsuit because TV deals are attached to all of the universities and LSU would still demand the money for that fiscal year.

A defendant would be beyond stupid if they didn't advocate for themselves in a case like this. I'm not a lawyer, but I wouldn't advise this.

They haven't violated any rules. You've admitted it yourself in this thread.

Maybe we should be talking to the theshaftguy instead

Lsu hasnt challenged the secs authority in federal court. The SEC sued the entire state of louisiana of which they do not have the authority. Them pulling the governor and AG into the lawsuit is and always has been gross overreach

Nobody is saying LSU should be kicked out tomorrow. But at some point, a conference has to decide whether a member is worth the trouble.

Let me ask you this. Who is worth more to Alabama? Greg Sankey or LSU? Which puts more money into Bama’s pocket? I can fully admit that Bama is more important to LSU than Sankey, and losing them would absolutely hurt LSU.

And that’s how I know you’re either not thinking this all the way through, or you’re just trolling as usual.

All kidding aside if they kick lsu out they have to kick someone else out or replace lsu. It’ll be better for all if the gators go to a league where we can actually be somewhat competitive

You're confusing Greg Sankey with the SEC itself. Sankey is an administrator. The conference is an agreement among sixteen institutions. LSU's financial value doesn't exempt it from the obligations of membership. If generating revenue is all that matters, then why have conference rules at all? And if LSU is as indispensable as you suggest, why did the SEC even consider expelling it?
