The SEC is terrible in basketball this year

Every team is mediocre to bad, save auburn and tenner and those two teams aren't anything to write home about. They are early exits in The NCAA tournament. Hopefully we get 3 or 4 teams in this year, but I doubt 4 will even make it. Hopefully Kentucky improves over time and carries the SEC to at least an elite 8. I don't know what to think about Mississippi State. They'd really haven't played anyone and Howl and sucks. What do we have to do to improve basketball in this conference? It was banging in the late 80s and 90s. We had 7 constant tourney teams. LSU was nap in final 4s ark and I'm making ships, if made a final 4, Bama was sweet 16, etc. We need the traditional basketball teams to go back on top. Auburn and tennesse3 are boring and their fans don't know how to act. It's embarrassing they are carrying the conference.

Tenn is the only elite team in the conference.
Aub&UK are tourney teams but both were better last year IMO.
Miss. State is the only other tourney team I see.

there are 4 SEC teams in the top 20 with a combined record of 34-5 second only to the ACC,

The downturn in football with losing the heisman, players transfering, and daunting bowl prospects, you cant blame them for running to a different sport.

lolwut?! Say what you will about Tennessee in general but this incarnation of Vols shooty hoops is one of the most exciting teams of the past decade (and that comes from analysts rather than my own opinion(. They're anything but boring.

Yeah. Kentucky struggling early has caused the SEC to revert back to a sad basketball league.

Tennessee is legit. They play big boy ball and have shooters. They have played together so long it shows.
Auburn has a great team. Fun tempo team to watch. They always seem to take on fatty's contagious personality and really get after it. They are fun to watch.
Kentucky...well, we are still trying to get new guys to find chemistry. Once that happens, things will look better. North Carolina and Louisville the next two games will show everyone if we are improving much to this point.
Vandy had a tough break with the PG. Otherwise, they would be giving people fits.

Tennessee and Auburn are both better this year than last year. Mississippi State is much better and should make the Tournament. Kentucky will eventually get it together.
I think all four of these teams are easy Round of 32 type teams, all with a shot at the Sweet 16 or further. Tennessee and Auburn could both make the Final 4 with a bit of luck.
I do agree with you though that after those four, there is a significant drop-off. I am starting to think the SEC only gets four teams into the field.
