This is so dumb. I don't care about the Tennessee matchup at all. If I have the choice it would be: UGA, Kentucky, and between Arky/Mizzou/Vandy.

But here is the beauty of it - it isn't that big a difference. You play Tennessee every year and you play Ole Miss, Kentucky, A&M, Alabama every other year.
It keeps permanent games for old members of this league who do care about certain games, but also doesn't make other teams lock in to games they don't care about while not getting to experience the whole league.

Yeah, and for Kentucky two of those games need to be Tennessee and Vanderbilt. I'd prefer South Carolina as our third. It's turned into a good shite talking rivalry with them. I wouldn't be opposed to Missouri, Mississippi State or Arkansas as our third either, but Tennessee and Vanderbilt are musts.

I think the 3 perms works out well because everybody (well, almost everybody) has at least 1-2 teams that they HAVE to play in their minds. If you only did 2 it'd be nearly impossible to fit all of those into a puzzle. With 3, you end up almost always getting those 1-2 must have rivalries. The 3rd perm may be some random team, and if it is, so what. You'll play them every year and play everybody else every other year.
Just seems like a really solid compromise.

I’m pretty sure the other 6 will not be every other year. It will be 2 years home/away. Then the other 6, 2 years home/away.

If these were to be presented as our 3 permanent games, you may as well give us a 1/7 model. While it would be interesting to be OU's permanent, we'd be sacrificing even more of our annual series. I'd rather just cycle through teams more often.

That makes sense. So more like when we used to have 2 rotating cross-divisional teams before A&M/Mizzou joined.
So something like (assuming Alabama is Auburn, Vols, State)
2025
vs Auburn (P)
vs Mississippi State (P)
vs Georgia (Y1 rotation)
vs Texas (Y2 rotation)
@ Tennessee (P)
@ LSU (Y1)
@ Vanderbilt (Y2)
@ South Carolina (Y1)
2026
vs Tennessee
vs Kentucky (Y1)
vs South Carolina (Y2)
vs LSU (Y2)
@ Auburn (P)
@ Georgia (Y2)
@ Mississippi State (P)
@ Oklahoma (Y1)
2027
vs Auburn (P)
vs Mississippi St (P)
vs Oklahoma (Y2)
vs Arkansas (Y1)
@ Tennessee (P)
@ Kentucky (Y2)
@ Ole Miss (Y1)
@ Florida (Y1)
2028
vs Tennessee (P)
vs Florida (Y2)
vs Vanderbilt (Y1)
vs Ole Miss (Y2)
@ Auburn (P)
@ Mississippi State (P)
@ Missouri (Y1)
@ Arkansas (Y2)
So it would take roughly 3 years to rotate through everyone. Those schedules look fun as hell, though.

Oh I like the 3-6 scenario but just prefer different teams than the ones listed in the OP posting.

Team players that we are, we will gladly accept which we scheduling arrangement best suits the conference.

This is the most fair schedule I have seen so far.

Still, choosing a team’s permanent opponents will be a most tricky and unenviable endeavor that is sure to tick off virtually every fan base in the conference.
& people wonder why this gets downvoted.

Down vote 1-7.....3-6 is already ruining annual rivalries.

Not to mention the schools being totally opposite on a map.

You recognize the problem...those of us with rivalries WANT TO KEEP THEM.
Hence why I don't see how keeping rivalries & playing everybody H/A is possible IN ONLY 4 YEARS.

I guess that’s why there is 7-7 split at this time in the voting.

I would love to see Ark.,Tx, OU and A&M play each other if not every year every other year because I think it would be great TV for the newly expanded SEC.
