Perhaps we can play a 9 game schedule, cancel the CCG, and earn the same payout..

If not, I hope we play a 3-5 schedule, exactly the same format as the 3-6 schedule with 1 less game per year. Instead of playing all teams at least 2x every 4 years, you play all teams at least 2x every 5 or 6 years depending on the setup.

Alabama Example
Perm1 - Auburn
Perm2 - Tennessee
Perm3 - Miss State

Rotate1 - Georgia or Florida or Texas
Rotate2 - LSU or Texas A&M or Oklahoma
Rotate3 - Ole Miss or Arkansas
Rotate4 - Kentucky or South Carolina
Rotate5 - Vanderbilt or Missouri

Then when a 9th game is added, Texas and Oklahoma drop down to..

Rotate6 - Texas or Oklahoma

This is just one example of this format, you can change the team names to make the schedules easier or harder or better for TV however which way you want.. the next part is to try and make more balanced schedules. With 9 teams, I think there is a pretty easy way to get there.

Two Divisions for Scheduling.. Left and Right

Year 1 - Play your same side division + 2 on the other side (7-8 common opponents)
Year 2 - Play the other division + 1 on the same side (8 common opponents)

Folks like Pate, Blake Ruffino, Bill King have been saying this for years.

Get rid of it

Add a 9th conference game while we are at it and lose one of the rent-a-wins.

Alabama Example
P1 = Tennessee
P2 = Auburn
P3 = Miss State

R1 = LSU or Georgia
R2 = Oklahoma or Missouri
R3 = Texas or Arkansas
R4 = So Carolina or Vanderbilt
R5 = Kentucky or Florida
R6 = Ole Miss or A&M

LSU Example
P1 = Texas A&M
P2 = Ole Miss
P3 = Florida

R1 = Alabama or Georgia
R2 = Oklahoma or Missouri
R3 = Texas or Arkansas
R4 = So Carolina or Vanderbilt
R5 = Kentucky or Tennessee
R6 = Auburn or Miss State

All of the teams in your "division" will have 7 or 8 common opponents each year, but the "division" is just for scheduling purposes.. it doesn't mean you play your division each year.

End the money grab and the foolishness with byes and entries into the playoff for teams outside the top 12. We just saw the damage it did to this year's format. You would have to be an idiot to think this is the way to get the best teams and give the proper teams the bye.

So how do we know who won the conference? Are we going back to the days of co-conference champions?

They are looking at big pic, uga and Tex both went to the playoffs regardless of the outcome. The outcome was uga losing it’s starting qb and Tex taking an extra L into the playoffs

There was a hire up who tried to higher a hire up for a job that the hire up was not hire up enough to handle the higher job.
Or something like that.

It's starting to seem like Sankey is out of his element. He doesn't seem to know his arse from a hole in the ground.

How'd we wind up with this clown?
