How many consecutive national champions have come from the SEC?
I think it is 5 in a row. That doesn’t just happen.
Baseball is a streaky game. Texas got hot at the wrong time of the season (and losing their ace was huge).

UTSA is for real. I knew that before we played them. Check out their record. That's a real team and a very disciplined team and simply better than us.

Yes a one-off bad year for the SEC in post-season baseball is enough to make sweeping generalizations about the conference that has won 5 straight national titles and dominated other leagues in the regular season.

Damn, I know it's been said, but if Arkansas catches a foul popup the SEC would have 7 straight CWS titles, by 7 different teams. That's dominance.
Also, I do think Texas and Vandy weren't handed regionals that were on level with being the #1 and #2 overall seeds. No excuse to lose them, but just an observation.

I think the SEC narrative has been pushed so much (justly or unjustly) that some of these teams are high on their own flatulence. Baseball is a gritty sport and when you play teams that have more competitiveness at the plate than you they end up beating you with much less talent.
I saw some REALLY BAD at-bats from many SEC teams over the regionals with RISP. You can’t strike out with no or one outs with a baserunner at third, yet guys are trying to win it with one swing. Multiple strikeouts in a row with guys in scoring position.
Just horrible cringe-worthy situational baseball.
