1 Big12 title in last 15 years and you’re going to run the gauntlet in the SEC? Lol

It's the physicality of playing an SEC schedule that gets to teams. The cumulative bumps and bruises have teams limping into November. It's the teams that handle those bumps and bruises the best that often end up doing well that final month of the season.

Those that don't? Well, their coaching staffs are usually looking for work come December.

This

You play an lsu one week and then an Arkansas as you’re trying to recover you’re down 10 early in Starkville as the cowbells are going late at night and that hornets nest is stirred up

You better be able to ring the bell and get after it or it will be tough

Yup instead of playing that 4-8 big 12 team that's the #78 most talented roster in the nation you'll be playing a 4-8 team with a top 25 roster and way more NFL guys

In our last 6 against y'all Arkansas is 4-2.

One of those being Bobby's first season where we started like 18 true freshmen.

Safe to say, we haven't had just a giant amount of success in the SEC over that same time.

So...I think you'll be in over your head some.

I'm laughing at the extremes on this thread. That somehow all OU and Texas fans are expecting a cakewalk vs. they will be shocked and destroyed by the gauntlet.

Texas fans are feeling better off because.

1) With the 12 team playoff Texas is actually in a better position to make the football playoffs being in the tougher SEC.

2) Baseball is a wash due to the way teams are picked for Omaha.

3) Basketball is a wash due to the way teams are picked for the tournament.

It's not so much that we're expecting a cakewalk. It's that we've bettered our ability to recruit and at the same time haven't substantially lessened our chances to make the playoffs.

Net: Now we get to have Georgia and Florida visit. Now we've got an excuse to spend some time in the Smokey Mountains. But our chances of sports success hasn't been diminished.

You’re really going to say the big12 was a better conference than the pac12. It took you 13 years to win the big12 lol. Congrats on the program turnaround.

I was referring to your lack of insight as to the Texas mindset. You being surprised at the hubris.

And the overall lack of attention to detail that led to the Pac12 dying.

That is so pathetically cherry-picked I almost feel bad for you. Given when that first game of those 6 was played to now, would you rather have Texas' accomplishments in football or Arkansas'? I think we know the answer...

Yea and Texas won by like 40

I know, right? I mean... just imagine if Texas had to play the SEC champion on the road this year? I bet they'd get DESTROYED, right? Right???

Elephant is carrying teams that produced 6 national champions and 2 runner-ups during the same period of time that the Big12 and Texas have combined to produce only one champion.

Yeah, this narrative that the SEC is "Just Alabama" is a tell-tale sign that the person saying it is ignorant AF.

In the last 25 years, natties have been won by Bama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Georgia, and Tennessee. Yes, Bama's run has been epic. That doesn't make it a one-team show.

Wanna see a 1-team conference? From 2000-2020, OU won 14 conference championships.

You sips sure love sucking each other off and telling yourselves that you’re such a “superior school”. Such is the delusion of the sip. And when it comes time for the matchup in Kyle Field next year, fricking bring it.

I see little to no difference in the football accomplishments of the two schools

To be honest , I kind of hope they do. The duck players need to learn their lesson for not being able to win the big games this year. Everyone plays a similar ranking and a good school and ducks get the jesus circle jerk.
