So the first thing that pops into your head after making it to Omaha (which hasn't happened often for A&M baseball) is to go on SEC Rant and make a thread about Texas.

Baseball is different and personal for me.. My order of rivalries in baseball are as follows:
1) LSU
2) Miss State
3) Arkansas
4) Oklahoma
5) Oklahoma State
6) Ole Miss
7) Texas Tech
8) TCU
9) Rice
10) Texas A&M
Based on history.. ya know..
That being said.. my dream scenario would be as follows this year.
1) Make it to Omaha (50/50)
2) Bitchslap Tennessee again
3) Crush Oklahoma (who beat A&M)
(or vice versa)
4) Drink beers while Tennessee eliminates A&M and then Oklahoma..
5) Eliminate Tennessee and do a bat flip as I round the bases..
6) Beat the piss out of the Hogs.
Any scenario or mix above honestly is my wet dream. Only thing better would be having LSU somewhere in that mix.
I want Tennessee tears this year first and foremost.. and I want to be the one who delivers the knock out punch. Ok it won’t be me.. but I want Texas to get that shot.
So little bro.. you would be wrong. The truth is I don’t really care who wins y’all’s game. If we make it.. there will be a colossal meltdown by 2-3 teams lol.

The 85' CWS was an awesome display of talent and baseball. Texas beating MSU in the semi's was especially noteworthy given the talent MSU had. Will Clark ("Will the Trill" or "The Natural") is my most favorite CWS player not wearing a Texas Uniform.
Texas lost to Miami, pitching Greg Swindell (19-2 record, 1.67 ERA, 15 complete games, six shutouts, and 204 strikeouts over 172 innings) on 3 days rest rather than save him for the last game. Texas & MSU were the two best teams that year, yet Miami won, with both of us losing in heartbreaking fashion.
Last year was special, especially for Miss St. Though Miss St. beat Vanderbilt for the title, the 3 game mini-series against Texas was classic.
We haven't played MSU a lot, but for us olds, those two CWS 36 years apart you never forget.
When everybody talks about Omaha, and the Baseball Gods, and the best teams not always winning, Texas & Miss St understand that as well as anybody.
It just makes winning that much sweeter.
