You know damn well there were bids from all 3 companies. Adidas offered us flagship status, they've done a great job with our uniforms and at Adidas we're a priority.

I don't like Adidas fan gear, but our jerseys have been fine. As long as we have Sumlin our jerseys will be great. Unlike the UCLA bs they rolled out this year.

Michigan is not with Adidas. They are with Nike and will be the first college team to wear the MJ Jumpman logo on their uniforms.

Exactly. Nike would have never given y'all top tier status. Nike has only given that to a handful of schools, Tennessee being one of them.

Also, Tennessee could have resigned with Adidas for much more money but chose not to. The reason being, Adidas isn't a top notch CFB company.

Tennessee also receives a higher royalty % from Nike for net merchandise sales this = millions

"Perhaps the biggest thing about Tennessee’s new deal with Nike, though, is how important Tennessee is to Nike.

Exact figures haven’t been — and probably won’t be — disclosed, but multiple sources have told GoVols247 that Tennessee is now one of less than 10 programs to be an Nike Elite program across the board in every sport. That’s rarified air, and it’s significant. It means Tennessee will be one of the few programs to have the newest bells and whistles available to it on an annual basis. Special occasions can now be even more special."

Don't kid yourself. Michigan got a flagship type deal. You got less money than your previous deal with Adidas. I already pointed out the numbers A&M will make around 20 M more in 1 less year. It's not close.

Yes, and Michigan is one of the less than 10 programs to have Nike Elite status just like Tennessee. aTm would not have been given that status, it would've been a secondary Nike deal.

And Tennessee is aware they could've made much more had they resigned with Adidas, but chose not to because they aren't the preeminent brand in college football. Being a Nike Elite school reaps many more rewards other than just money.

Adidas has to pay more due to it's lesser status and it's schools dropping them left and right.

no. They just try to avoid showing it on this board. They keep all their rustles on their team board...hence my sig quote. it's actually pretty easy because they take message boards very seriously.

I didn't realize that this deal is a top 5 apparel. We are better than all the SEC frickers and more important.

It's good to be royalty.

Give Adidas some of that money back and ask them to invest it in design R&D so the uni's look better in the future.
