Big 6 is irrelevant now ... The world has changed.

I'm inclined to agree but we need at least 10 years of data in this new world.

No. They played in clown conferences for decades. Inflates their numbers.

1. A minimum of one SEC Championship Since 1977

This is really how the moniker came about. The Big 6 have collectively won every SEC title since 1977, combining for 51 total.

16- Alabama
9- Georgia
8- Florida
7- Auburn
6- LSU
5- Tennessee

You are getting out in the weeds dude. This is the Big 6. End of story. When someone else wins the SECCG then we will have a Big 7...

I don't know why you started with 1977 but the Big 6 are the 6 schools who have won the SEC since integration. That was early 70s.

Their total wins and win% might be a bit inflated, but a national championship is a national championship. I mean Texas beating USC in 2005 is not something that should be discounted. That was a heck of a win for a title.

Well Kentucky won an SEC title in 1976, so that’s the main reason.

Nonsense. If Vandy or Kentucky has one magical season that is not enough to proclaim them one of the top dogs of the league. There is wayyyyy more to the Big 6 than just a single SEC title.

And for that matter, why don’t people say, “The Big 7” and count Kentucky? You could go back to 1964 and say the “Big 7” has won every title but that would be ludicrous because Kentucky does not belong with that other group for obvious reasons.

Only thing I know is that we’ve surpassed Auburn as a program

UGA won the SEC in 1976.
UK "won" it years later over Miss St forfeiting victories.

LOL. The holy ground your team is playing on right now had orange and blue confetti drop for an Auburn national title just 15 years ago. We’ve played for another national title since then also.

It’s cute that you think beating Tulane and winning one game over Georgia is enough to pass programs with actual hardware, but you need to worry about being closer to Arkansas and Missouri in program prestige before you start pretending you’re something else.

Kentucky was retroactively given the co-title because a loss to MSU was vacated. They also lost to Georgia, the real champion that year.

And the “requirement” for Big Six membership has always simply been an SEC Championship post-1963, which was the last time a team won the conference that was not named Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU or Tennessee.

Don’t comment much, but well done. A rare positive representation of Auburn.

Not discounting that, but Big 6 is an SEC thing and they only just arrived.

Sorry to tell you that is what it is. Big 6 is not a power rating. It is an exclusive fraternity

You just claimed a bunch of bogus "titles" so you can't say Ole Miss has zero.
