The reason why the 6-1-1 and permanent opponent rule is so popular

According to the ESPN article by Edward Aschoff, the real reason why the 6-1-1 schedule and the permanent opponent rule finds favor among the majority of programs has little to do with traditional rivalries.
It has more to do with the present day status quo.
As it stands now, nobody in the SEC wants to play the two present day dominate programs from either division in the same year.
"In talking to some coaches, the 6-2 scheduling model can be worrisome because it could mean some schools would drop regular nonconference rivalry games -- like Kentucky dumping Louisville -- in order to lighten their load at times. No Eastern Divison team wants to play Alabama and LSU during the same season, and no West team wants to play Florida and Georgia in the same year".
However, thanks to this year's bridge schedule, LSU enjoys the privlige and honor nobody else wants, and the rest of the SEC is happy to keep it that way.

Are you saying Ed. Aschoff of ESPN is a myopopic LSU fan?
Let me repeat what Aschoff said in his article and what everybody wants to ignore:
"In talking to some coaches, the 6-2 scheduling model can be worrisome because it could mean some schools would drop regular nonconference rivalry games -- like Kentucky dumping Louisville -- in order to lighten their load at times. I don't think Les Miles has said anything about dropping TCU to lighten his load this year; did you?

You don't understand the precise methodology used to determine the bridge schedule, which was completely transparent and fair and everything else.

What does this have to do with Ohio State?

Considering the SEC is meeting to discuss future schedules in Florida this week, I expected everyone on the Rant would want to be in the know.
You're welcome.
If you must know why an Ohio St fan is interested, I find the hypocrisy of the SEC fans on the RANT to be absolutely amazing.
Most of the programs in the SEC are weak sisters as Bob Stoops as recently pointed out. However, the SEC is unusual in the fact that you have had four or even five perennial powers at one time during the past 10 years. Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Bama, LSU, and the new comer TAM.

Don't compare all LSU fans to them ones you know on the internet. And definitely not based off of one posters consistent bitching about the same thing.
OP, seriously dude. You have done this shite almost everyday. Many others agree the scheduling needs to be more balanced across the board but your persistence on bringing this up EVERY TIME YOU POST has to fricking stop.
I'm honestly considering starting a help thread to have you banned. All you do is bitch about the same thing, in every. damn. post.
