I don't want Kiffin at LSU. Period.

But they’re not.

Ole Miss team isn’t that great. They have a very small chance they could win it all, with Kiffin.

Kiffin isn’t the stay and build type guy. He is quick success and run. It’s a miracle he lasted 6 years in Oxford TBH. The funny part is he finally got what he was chasing (a playoff run) and didn’t have the fortitude to stay and see it through and punt his job search for 1 more year.. what an idiot

No shite. I don't know what motivates him, but the whole 'I've found peace' schtick clearly isn't it. He has everything he says he wants in Oxford, yet he's about to leave to go to LSU, where all that is going to be disrupted. He's going to be under a lot more pressure, living in a shitty city. I think LSU fans want to believe Saban is his template, but I think it's more likely Pete Carroll and that doesn't bode well for LSU. Carroll failed in the NFL, went to college and had a great set up at USC and he left because he wanted to be in the NFL. I think Kiffin will do the same thing. And again, none of this is good for college football.

I hope this is the closest Kiffin ever gets to the CFP. Wouldn't it be ironic if at the end of his career this is his high point.

That was kiffin’s threat.

True and a keen indicator he sees LSU as a stepping stone. If LSU was his “destination” coaching in the CFP would be immaterial and unnecessary.

I think he wants to showcase his coaching in a playoff situation so as to enhance recruiting to LSU.
He's had to use the portal to build teams every year at Ole Miss. At LSU he can recruit top talent out of high school and use the portal to supplement positions of need.

Per 24/7, LSU is at #12 with only 15 recruits, room for improvement.

You think he would rather deal with HS kids
than proven players in the portal ? His
greatest successes come from the portal.
If he get a HS top recruit that’s just gravy.
