Another non football one
This loss punched me in the gut so bad and is in my top 5 of all time with aggravating Dubose losses, the Cam-back and losing on homecoming with Shula.
Alabama Softball had finally won the SEC regular season, the SEC Tourney and awarded the #1 seed in hoped of finally winning our first (and the conference's 1st) National Championship. (the next year would be less soul sucking but just as disappointing as we would stroll through the WCWS just to be skulldrug by Florida).
#1 Alabama v #16 Hawaii softball May 30, 2010 super regional

That guy hated us
242 yards a game. I wonder what South Carolina ever did to him.

I can tell you what they didn't do. Tackle.

Assuming that if the ball was spiked Georgia would have scored, and then didn't pull a UGA against ND.
I'll give you the first part of assuming we would've scored. We would have at least had time to gather our thoughts and have 2 shots at it, while we had Bama gassed. But you know we would've stomped a mudhole in Notre Dame, don't even act like you don't.

Chris Collins never stepped out of bounds ... Damn you LSU ... Damn you to the Deepest Darkest Depths of Hell for this one. #NeverForget #NeverForgive

One of the craziest games I have ever seen.

I can't find video of it, but the 2002 AU-Florida game was a punch in the gut as well. As the team lined up to kick the field goal I was sure they had just won this game. And then...blocked. Game went to over time and Grossman went all Grossman on us.

I remember something about the refs being very terrible in a call late during that game
One call, by a ref who actually went on Texags, bragged about it, was outed, and deleted his facebook account after the fallout.
That still didn't excuse allowing the rapist voyeur (Case McCoy) to run up the middle for 25+ yards to set up that FG.
In hindsight though, if Tucker missed, we'd still have Sherman...and Manziel would have never started...

FS Trent Hunter got called for a very weak receiver targeting penalty that extended the drive. Our fans did some investigating and found that the ref in question likes to wear UT apparel in Facebook photos. I'm on my phone or I'd post links, i know someone else has them.
Regardless we let Case McCoy stumble for like 30 yards after that, so that was on us. And without that specific loss we likely keep Sherman, Johnny might not be our QB, etc.

Seriously? I doubt y'all would have beaten Georgia and I'm almost positive you wouldn't have beaten Oklahoma.
It's moot point anyway. USC would have gotten in.
