Didn't Richt try and hire Pruitt at Miami? If true, I find it hard to believe any of this stuff happened.

Lol. Most in thread is true besides it was Sunday afternoon. Several times he went off the handle at practice. Hell, he chose the offensive line Coach. He came in and took over, which is what he was allowed to do.
Nobody ever wondered why FSU didn't care he was lured away? UGA didn't even give him a raise. FSU never even offered him. Love the guy honestly. He's a ticking time bomb.

Today Richt was being asked about Pruitt at acc media days and richt cut him off and said “I’m the coach of Miami and i came to talk about Miami, and Pruitt is coaching Tennessee and he’d probably prefer talking about Tennessee. I’ll leave it at that”

He can be, because he is the head coach at Tennessee.

Thank god Richt didn’t get Pruitt, Miami could have turned back into a dynasty.

Regarding Pruitt, he’s good enough of a dc for Saban to hire him so of course Richt would have offered him at Miami, especially after what a good job he did at both uga and fsu, coaching and recruiting.

It shouldn’t shock anyone that Richt would have offered him, regardless of some level of past strife. And Pruitt said no to Richt because Saban offered him. It had nothing to do with drama.

Grown men can fight and even throw punches but two days later everything is fine.

Richt and Pruitt aren’t soy boys.

“Coach Richt, you know, the things he taught you, one thing, probably the biggest thing to me is there's more to life than football,” Pruitt said.

Yeah, there is crying after blowing games due to idiotic coaching.

Not going to lie, Pruitt sounds like the redneck version of Orgeron
The first time around with Pruitt as head coach may not be a good one

Pruitt can actually coach though.

He still does and says the right thing at the right time. I wish he could have gotten us over the hump and could recruit like Kirby and had the drive of Kirby. Unfortunately he could not and did not.

You respond to whiznot but quote me, so Im not sure how to respond.

I’v Never liked Pruitt. I’ve said he’s a slimy snake oil salesman since he showed up at uga.

I most certainly have no love affair with Pruitt. I think he’s white trash.

Seems like Pruitt saw Richt as a weak leader that he could push around.

I think this may be true and would make Pruitt wrong. He shouldn't be that way but Jeremy is a hot head and he'll admit that. If he thought something needed to be corrected and wasn't he would be the type to call Richt out on it. I think he just didn't fancy Richt's approach as a coach and probably questioned him about some things he was "not" doing.

The story about Pruitt going to Richt's house at night has been around for awhile. In addition, when he left Bama for FSU, he complained that Saban didn't make him an on-field coach fast enough. (Pruitt was initially hired for Hoover High School as an analyst).

He was on the staff at Bama while Kirby was there, and I've no doubt that there is some animosity between the two just because of their different styles.

Bottom line--Pruitt has a massive ego but does not have the accomplishments to back up that ego. That may make it difficult to weather the impending tough times at Tennessee.

I tend to agree with this. Richt was laid back as a coach, and kept emotions, as a whole, under control. Pruitt was more fiery. People with fiery temperaments tend to think laid back people don't care, but that's not the truth. I imagine Pruit's misinterpretation of Richt's caring caused a lot of friction.

Wow. It's simple English and yet you still don't understand. Wish I could spell it out for you in a simple way so you would understand, but I just don't think I could dumb it down enough.

ETA
In fact....after reading your sentences I know I can't dumb it down enough so you would understand.
