Sir, you are preaching to a room full of people with a collective IQ of a potato.
You did not mention “Bammer melt” anywhere in this post, so this will go straight over their heads.
Did you miss "bammer melt" so much that you needed to bring it into this thread unprompted?

The only thing that matters is number of losses. Period.
Slightly different.. But the CFP only cares about wins - regardless of how cheap those wins are
To be fair, the requirement of conf champions has dictated some of the committee decisions and for that Sankey needs to be canned. But the SEC has a real problem especially with the parity in it's current state
The Big 10 has the framework to get 4;teams every yr .... It would just depend on the scheduling committee as to which teams go. . Have the right 4-5 teams play that bottom 1/3 ( or a standard of Um OSU PSU + )and add .a couple occ cupcakes and voila ....10+ wins

This just isn’t true. Hasn’t been in a while.
Then explain why the ACC went 3-7 against the SEC this season. The combined record of the three SEC teams they beat is 16-20 overall and 7-17 in conference play. Every single time an ACC team played a SEC team with a winning conference record, every time, the ACC team lost. Two different SEC teams beat the ACC champ Clemson. And one of them got left out of the playoffs. Ole Miss and Tennessee embarrassed the ACC teams they played, winning by a combined score of 91-16.
I would say that is pretty compelling evidence that the SEC is head and shoulders better than the ACC. And the ACC is the third best conference in college football. CUSA, Mountain West, MAC, AAC and similar conferences aren’t even remotely comparable.
The only conference that is comparable is the Big 10.
College football currently has 2 power conferences, the SEC and the Big 10.

I enjoyed Kirby taking a shot at Sankey while he was standing 10 feet away from him at the post-CCG interview.

been saying it the sec schedules are hard which mean we dont need any elite to good ooc games period. Every team we play is good enough to make the playoffs imo depending on the year which means we are beating each other up. 9 game sec is out of the question now imo not worth it.

The SEC is still the clear top conference in college football. I dont think we are as dominant a conference as we were pre-2020. Portal is quickly killing quality depth and distributing it across CFB.

you guys are missing the key to it all..
The SEC can leave at anytime and just create their own playoff.. I’d rather watch that to be honest..
8 Team Playoff
1 Texas vs 8 LSU
4 Alabama vs 5 Ole Miss
3 Tennessee vs 6 South Carolina
2 Georgia vs Texas A&M
* instead of SEC Title Game
This will happen sooner than later.. then play the other champ in a super bowl type of game

It absolutely is true. There is significantly more NFL talent in the SEC on a per team basis than any other conference, and there has been for a long time.
Consider this, the top 12 ranked SEC teams in the latest 2025 high school recruiting rankings AVERAGED #9 in the country. The top 12 in the Big Ten averaged 23rd. That’s a huge difference.
In case you’re wondering the ACC top 12 best recruiting places averaged 34, and rather Big 12 averaged 43.

The playoff can’t just be an SEC love fest, there are other teams out there.
The more you expand the more the SEC will take a hit.

The BCS would have been perfect, Georgia Oregon.
That’s it.
They play for a title.

It is almost like they said “what can we do that will frick the college football post season up the most” and then did that.
They are killing the golden goose out of greed.

the SEC went 7-3 against the ACC this year. Those three wins for the ACC were against 4-8 Kentucky, 5-7 Auburn, and 7-5 Florida. No ACC team beat an SEC team who was over .500 in conference play. Georgia and South Carolina beat the ACC champion. Ole Miss and Tennessee absolutely embarrassed the ACC teams they played. Even Vandy beat Va. Tech
If we're going to point out how the ACC got wins over bad SEC teams, we should probably also show the opposite.
#6 Louisville (8-4) 41 - 14 #15 Kentucky (4-8)
#1 Clemson (10-3) 14 - 17 #8 South Carolina (9-3)
#17 Florida State (2-10) 11 - 31 #10 Florida (7-5)

#8 Boston College (7-5) 21 - 27 #7 Missouri (9-3)
#15 Wake Forest (4-8) 6 - 40 #6 Mississippi (9-3)
#14 California (6-6) 21 - 14 #13 Auburn (5-7)
#12 NC State (6-6) 10 - 51 #3 Tennessee (10-2)
#1 Clemson(10-3) 3 - 34 #1 Georgia (11-2)
#9 Virginia Tech (6-6) 27 - 34 #12 Vanderbilt (6-6)

Thanks, I missed the Mizsou/BC game.
The ACC was even worse than I said. They were 3-8 against the SEC.
When a good ACC team played a good SEC team the ACC lost. Two of their three wins were against SEC teams with losing records. The only win against a SEC team with a winning record was by a team, Miami, that was in the conversation to make the playoffs.

The sec could have got 4 maybe even 5. Bama just can't lose to vandy or ou and ole miss can't lose at home to Kentucky. All this whining and these team have no one to blame but themselves

agree....I think SEC got duped.
Absolutely. Sankey is a terrible Commissioner. He should have explained to the Mountain West that the SEC was doing him a favor by letting them participate and no their champion isn't getting a bye and they aren't getting in at all if they aren't in the top 12 teams.
