Who knows who this person is off the top of your head? Without googling it. What’s his name?

I couldn’t tell you, and neither could 90% of this board. Talk about a vacuum of leadership. More people know the different conference commissioners names than they do the president of the NCAA.

I haven’t seen this guy on a podcast, seen an article written about him, radio interview, nothing. Doesn’t mean much other than it just shows how feckless and unimportant the NCAA is in all this.

Well obviously, the current President of the NCAA is Charlie Baker, who became the sixth president on March 1, 2023, after serving as the Governor of Massachusetts, bringing extensive experience in government and business leadership to navigate major shifts in college athletics, including Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and evolving tournament structures.

Who didn't know that?

Mark Emmert was pretty well known I think, but yeah I couldn’t name the current pres without googling

And maybe emmert wasn’t that well known, Maybe I just knew him because of his LSU ties (Emmert was LSU chancellor when I was in school and hired Saban, so I was very familiar with him). Either way, it definitely seemed like Emmert was more prominent and visible and in the media than whoever the current guy is

Ranters: Hahaha Bama is full of poor white trash. Their days of buying players and influence is over as they can't keep up with the big boys

Also ranters: Bama/REC controls the NCAA/SEC/scheduling/Federal Reserve

Myles Brand and Mark Emmett were the ones that I remember but I figured it was someone different now because that was a long time ago
