honestly,I'm afraid its headed that way sooner than later. At this rate,I'm not going to be surprised if Auburn or Alabama or both get the death penalty before 2020.

Excellent idea 59. At some point some responsible people are needed to step in and put the kibosh on this foolishness. The fundamental problem is lack of respect between both groups.

I think that's a great idea, but I honestly don't see it working. There are fanatical fans on both sides of this rivalry that won't give a damn what their coach says.

First: who didn't see this coming? If this incident has proved anything, it's that we have some serious crazies in our fan bases.
Secondly: I don't believe anything from a primary source with the name of Crimson or Bear. I'll wait on secondary confirmation of the death threats..... I'm not doubting they happened, just want a more reliable source.

This whole situation is ... unbelievable. I remember how much I, umm, disliked Auburn when I was growing up. But many of my friends were Auburn fans. They were still good friends, regardless of how I felt about Auburn.
I don't agree with the killing of Toomer's trees. But to threaten the life of a kid .... As many have stated before this continual oneupsmanship can only lead to bad things.

In regard to retaliation and replacement of the oaks, Chizik should get to shave Saban's head at halftime of the 2011 Iron Bowl, and have statues made for Toomer's corner depicting it. OR, Auburn could put up statues of a Tiger sodomizing an elephant...
