LSU spent more money than any football program in history on its roster and the Crown Jewel was a QB that lost to Mississippi State.
Now they can’t stop making excuses the week after taking the loss. Lane is making excuses that used to work back when it took years to build rosters. His roster will be new again next year just like everyone else’s.

It was definitely their Superbowl. I'm pretty sure the Rebs don't care if they win another game this season after that.

I keep reading "this was Ole Miss' Superbowl" coming from LSU.
Ole Miss literally won 2 playoff games in 2025 and was close to winning a third.
LSU hasn't earned their way into the expanded playoff yet.
For playoff teams, regular season games literally do not mean anything.
For non-playoff teams, their super bowl is in the regular season.
