No one can tell me shite about being a side walker. The only football I knew growing up until Saban was Dubose, Price, Franchione and Shula.

I was born in '76 so I remember Bear, but not many games. Perkins was the coach when I started to understand football and by the time Curry left, I was convinced that Bama would never ever win another national championship

Ditto. I have vague recollections of Stallings but I didn’t start paying attention to football until around 1999 or so.

UA failed to beat Texas in 8 straight games spread out over 80 years: 7 losses and one tie.

If only Colt hadn't got hurt...

I remember being in the shite hole of Shreveport and celebrating the Independence Bowl win over Iowa State like it was the BCSCG.

Sad.

I truly thought the Cotton Bowl in 2005 was the best bowl game I'd ever go to. Had a helluva trip to Dallas.

You're not going to believe it, but for Bama fans that's easier than the alternative.

I very clearly remember as a 13 year old crying when Alabama lost 6-3 to Mississippi State because that sort of thing simply didn't happen. It's one thing to never known success, but to have experienced both Bryant and Stallings success and then have to suffer through the saga of the three Mikes (Fran really wasn't bad on the field) is true misery.

I dunno, I think being born in the mid/late 80s and having to listen to your parents and everyone of the generation older than you be pissed and talk about how it used to be yet not have any recollection of it is much worse.

Trust me, it's worse to have lived it. Just hearing stories is like reading about a unicorn. Sounds nice, but isn't actually real.

Yea, his tenure was awful. The Auburn interception game sums it all up I watched that game with a LSU fan and an Auburn fan. They both were wore out after

I was going to ask how I missed that, but looked closer and saw it wasn't LSU. Also, All-American Bowl.

Easily favorite derp of the week, though.

Out of those streaks, the Tennessee streak was the worst. I was bitter and broken It was horrible

Tyler Watts and company broke the streak a few hours after we buried my Granmother. It was the strangest thing ever, I would cry for a minute and jump for joy the next. I’ve never experienced a combination of elation and sorrow like I did that night.

The recent years OOS students are arguably the worst part of the Bama fanbase. They are just a slightly more educated version of the typical trailer trash sidewalk alumni

Poor Auburn fan.....James Brooks says "Hi"

How good is Auburn academically? My uncle, an Auburn graduate, refused to send his two children to Auburn.....

That says it all......

I remember that awesome 13-10 win over Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl when Christensen hit that wobbly duck to lead us to victory. Bama was BACK baby!

For sure...and I was living in Nashville for a few of those years on the tail end.

Then Brodie and Shula bailed us out...actually, Rocky Stop did. Then the improbable pass/catch for a huge gain, Darby up the middle a few times, and the world’s ugliest made field goal.

What a sh!tshow of a game. No TDs.
I believe that game was the beginning of Fulmer’s decline.
