Not sure about gump boards but texags has been around since 1998. Have personally posted about Fran and have tried ever since to forget he ever existed. Truly the lowest point in aggie football history

Beebe letter FOIA request and all the potential PAC16 proposals…….if only we had got it in writing from the SEC that whorns were banished……we’ve all learned a handshake no longer means anything in the south

Texags is actually a couple years older than that. The oldest usernames on it though are from October of '99 because after we lost to Tech that year they literally fried the servers and Texags essentially had to start from scratch. The original owner of Texags was a guy named Peter Kuo who went by aggiefan and was an outgrowth of the GoBig12 board where multiple early message boards started from as schools wanted to start their own thing. That was back around '95/96. GoBig12 was hosted by the Austin American Statesman at the time so it was inherently doomed as a Texas site, huge lost opportunity though as they had the early audience and went the way of Netscape and Yahoo.

Texags really started growing when Peter sold and then they brought in Liucci as a co-owner as he had a newsletter called "The Maroon and White Report" that had a lot of insider info. He leveraged that into Texags Premium where he gave his info and they created a Premium board that is the core of the site and they since have added a ton of user content and now they just tower over any other A&M sites.

Yes they did. The old CNNSI board was active, not really moderated, and had a large following nationwide. No one could start threads, which in retrospect may have been a good thing……

Texas had hornfans and shaggybevo back in the day.

Can’t remember which site name, but there was a big embezzlement fiasco and falling out a while back.

Yep, no reason to go to the regular board and I haven't clicked on it in years. Plenty of folks hate on Texags and Liucci and that's fine but they put out an incredible amount of content and with NIL they have a bunch of player interviews now. With the radio show it's pretty impressive, they are basically a mini media empire.

It has to change at some point right?! Statistically even with the number of years of striving…. No more Sysiphus Aggie!
