I didn't read the 4 pages but the play didn't even just stand, it was confirmed. That means they had visual evidence it was a pick and not just couldn't tell

That's actually the point of the article if you choose to read it.
It wasn't LSU's possession in the air either - simultaneous possession means no one has possession and the ball reverts back to the offense from the original LOS.

Bama receiver had it for a second in the air, with reids hands on it. However, when Reid's feet hit the ground, the jar of that impact forced the ball loose in the receivers hands. He was than bobbling it and never regained possession. It fell into Reid's hands.

When I watched the game last night I thought it was a bad call, but after watching a couple of good slow mo's I have no doubt that it was an interception.

Except the ball never hit the ground ... not an interception per se, but more of a strip and possession by Reid.

That is not what simultaneous possession means.
Simultaneous possession is when an both an offensive and defensive player have possession of the ball but neither has 100% possession. The result is a catch.
What we are saying, and this point was made by the author, is that once Williams started bobbling the ball he had lost possession. He didn't have any possession of the ball whatsoever after the inflection point. At that point, it becomes irrelevant whether or not Williams was down.
That was the ruling on the field, which was confirmed by the video review crew.
The author has a point but I think he is wrong.

We got screwed on that one. At least the LSU whiners will focus more on Verne and Gary instead of the Refs now.
I haven't seen one news cast, national tv program, or even the Alabama newspapers say that Ried's interception was not the correct call. Take off your crimson colored glasses.

I hope every bama fan can convince themself that this wasn't an interception...
Feel free to have heaping helping of that helpless stomach sickness that LSU fans felt when bama was given the ball after Patrick Peterson intercepted 2 years ago... Remember that one?
Go ahead, help yourself... hell, buffet style... all you can eat!

This isn't like a running play where the play ends the minute you make contact with the ground. A receiver has to maintain control even after he hits the ground. He didn't and Reid ended up with the ball. Obvious interception.

Guess you guys know how we feel by taking awaya our win in 2009 with the Patrick Petersen call. However this call will never be as blantant and obvious as Peterson's interception. Receiver and Safety both had possession and Safety fell down with possession. Call could have gone either way and it was reviewed. Guess the referees were told how bad the officiating at BAMA has been with all visiting teams and this time you guys feel like the rest of us have in past times. See you guys next year in TIGER STADIUM where you probably won't win but if you do we won't cry and find every excuse as to why you didn't win.

He has to control the ball throughout the whole catch. He lost the ball to the LSU player as he hit the ground, therefore it is an interception. Bama fans really have no argument on this one.

So you're saying it was an incomplete pass and Bama likely would have had to settle for another missed field goal attempt from 45 yards out?

Honestly, he lost possession of the ball before he touched the ground. That shite was coming loose pretty early on.
