I proposed to my now wife on a mountain in Colorado in 2002. We then talked about possible dates in the fall and tentatively agreed on a date. I told her I would have to get back home to check my work calendar ( this was before iPhone calendars). My real reason was to make sure it was an open date, because I would never ask anyone to be in my wedding on a night LSU was playing. As it turned out, it was an open date. Fate. We are still happily married.
