I just stumbled across this documentary on Amazon Prime from 2015. It’s definitely worth a watch.

Here’s make take on it.

Houston Nutt is a huge piece of shite.

In 2005, Mitch Mustain was the top high school quarterback in American; the first ever consensus Gatorade, Parade, and USA Today Player of the year. He began his college career with eight consecutive victories. Then, momentum stopped.

I enjoyed the documentary as well

Mustain reminds me of a normal baw that I’d golf and drink beer with, he just happened to have a blessed right arm

I mean Mitch Mustain won alot of games as a freshman at arkansas then transferred because he thought he was better than he was and noone ever heard from him again. Maybe the biggest identity lie that happened in his life was his opinion of himself as an elite qb. He shouldn't have bit the hand that fed him. Ill tell him next time I'm shopping car insurance in little Rock or wherever the hell he ended up.

Another QB Gus Malzahn faked to develop beyond anything other than a HUNH loser.

From 2015...

quote:

Q: What are you doing now?
Mustain: I work in Mesa, Arizona, a place called the Virtual Incident Command Center. We do firefighter and strategic training for captains and battalions. Love that and I'm right now pursuing a job in the fire service. What I'm trying to do in the long-term is the Navy. So I'm training physically for special warfare. That's what I want to do. So it's just a matter of running that track.

Trail ends there. At least it does for the amount of effort in willing to put into it.

Mustain was always hype over substance. Just not the football player that he was made out to be.

He transferred in his own words that he wanted to get as far away from the Arkansas as possible. He was tired of the drama that surrounded the 2006 season.

Nutt had back to back losing seasons and his seat was hot. He didn't want Mustain or Malzahn at Arkansas. So he was pressured by Frank Broyles and his backers to hire Malzahn in hoping it would land Mustain and some other Springdale players.

Mustain grew up a Razorback fan but was very concerned a bout Nutt and his QB development which any college football fan would know was terrible.

Arkansas should have fired Nutt after the 2005 season but since Nutt was good at kissing arse, he was the first head football coach at Arkansas to survive back to back losing seasons since the 50s.

Arkansas should have hired someone such as Butch Davis a Springdale native that would have taken advantage of the situation in 2006. Mustain would be treated better and get the QB development that he didn't get under Nutt.

We will never know but Nutt wasn't called the QB killer for nothing.

I met him a couple of times. My friend who is a GM for a CFL team talks with college football coaches all over the nation.

Nutt being a prick isn't even breaking the ice and he is a classic narcissist.
