defense

Those 15 non-offensive TDs in 2016 made the score differential higher than than what it truly was. Which undoubtedly helped Hurts a lot.

Without that defensive cushion last year, he struggled at times. Plus, he made no progress in doing the things that QBs are supposed to do.

Tua made a pass against Vandy that was as good as I've seen. That opened my eyes and it was a fact that Hurts had not improved over the off season.
Hurts can not pass a receiver open. Tua does it all the time.

If you had a Dodge pickup and a Shelby Cobra which would you take to a street race? That is the choice Bama is looking at.

Hurts is a head issue.. exacerbated by the stress of being 1 when you know 100% you have no business being there...also the stress of being a turnover machine in yr 1 and knowing how much Saban hates turnovers and won't accept them at all in year 2.. amazing that hurts can even function cudos

I betcha, if tua was not there, the champions of hurts would be lining up on finebaum to defend him as a great qb.

They would have turned on him after Georgia won the national championship by 2+ scores

Wut the hell is the gist of this post? What is your point other than:

* Alabama has beaten my team so many times and it has driven me to making silly non-sense posts on sports boards and making a fool of myself.

* I really wish Alabama would start losing and LSU would begin winning big time.

I like bama in the scheme of things and I don't hate the kid but omg I'm so sick of hearing about Tua it almost makes me want Stidham to be great this season and that's Auburn- that's how bad it is.

What if I told you that a QB who went 25-2 as a starter in his Freshman and Sophmore season would be benched in favor of another Freshman?

The 30 for 30 title would be Benching Greatness

Greg McElroy went 24-3 as a starter at Bama.
Blake Sims went 13-2 as a starter at Bama.
Jake Coker went 14-0 as a starter at Bama.

Would you call any of those QBs great?

It's funny watching you pretend not to be an Alabama fan.

Choking in big games tends to lose you a lot of support unfortunately. At least he appears to be a stand up guy. Bad move for not transferring though.

When dealing with supporters who elevate a coach, team, politician or whatever to "god-like" status, the breakups are absolutely brutal. You can't just wish a guy well and move on, you have to diminish him in his work and as a person. He's leaving the hive, perhaps not even by his own choosing, but because of it he has to be absolutely crushed. It's weird and it's not just sports.

It's a knee jerk reflex to protect/defend the honor of the person who made the decision, and it's pretty amazing to watch.

Most are very complimentary of Hurts. His athletic ability and his character have been outstanding for the most part.

However, pointing out someone's flaws as a quarterback is not a personal attack or turning one's back on another. It's simply stating the truth. We all have to be truthful about what we can and cannot do as people, and the same is true for football and football players.

I hate two things:

1) I hate that some people actually attack these kids personally over football.

2) I hate that when fans are truthful and objective, without being offensive or personally attacking players, teams, coaches, etc, they are lumped in with those in #1.

When teams finally started bringing everybody down to the line of scrimmage to stop the run and exposed Jalen's poor passing eye it was all over for Hurts at QB.

If Jalen wants to play in the NFL he should move to tight end or wide receiver right now.
