Well, in case you haven't noticed they have gone crazy PC hte last few years removing all references to violence from names.

Red River Shootout? Nope. Now the Red River Rivalry

The Border War? Nope. Now the Border Showdown.

You'll never get the Gulf War to stick, maybe the Gulf Showdown.

Naming it after a war where American men and innocent people died qualifies it as being borderline offensive.

Meh...isn't there a Civil War game?

And unlike the other two, there actually was a Gulf War

You're offended by that? People like you are what's wrong with this country.

Who gets to be Iraq? Or does it switch every year?

Did he say he was offended by it? No. But I think naming a football rivalry after a war is kind of trashy.

A generation ago you could have gotten the Gulf War name proudly.

Nowadays since everyone is a hypersensative nancy-boy, no way in hell.

The game isn't a real rivalry and doesn't need a name, but Gulf War is boring and lame.

No, it really doesn't. Unless you're overly sensitive.

If that's the case, there will be a hell of a lot of things that we will have to go about changing.

Why don't you start with getting rid of the Ole Miss and Rebel names? We'd better ask Missouri and Kansas to reexamine their games. Anything called a shootout will have to be changed due to the gun violence plaguing our society. Hell, that's just for starters.

How about we quit being pussies and looking for excuses to be offended. The name suggested, while kind of dumb, was not something like "the Holocaust."

This is just a manifestation of LSU's want to give everything a nickname
