I may be tempted to go DeAngelo Williams here considering both players college and pro career.

Sammy Baw? I expected more from Texas.
Sammy Baugh helped transform the game of football. The NFL became a passing league because of the influence of players like Baugh. Per Wikipedia..."By the time he retired, Baugh set 13 NFL records in three player positions: quarterback, punter, and defensive back."
He led the NFL in passing for 6 seasons and had the lowest number of interceptions for 5. His career punting average was 45.1 yards per kick and he averaged over 50 yards per punt in 1940. As a DB, he was the first NFL player in history to intercept 4 passes in a game.
He was also part of the very first NFL HOF class.
Sammy Baugh was a badass.

I'll take Earl Campbell for $1000, Alex.

Ding, ding, ding!
Sammy Baugh was well before everybody here's time, so he has that disadvantage. Vince would be a decent pick, but to me it is Earl and it isn't close.
Earl Campbell was the best RB from Texas...but Sammy Baugh was the best all around football player. He changed the game of football.

I have not the slightest negative thing to say about Baugh, but just for transparency's sake the NFL was only around about 30 years at the time of his retirement.

Jerry Rice is the obvious answer. You could also chime in with Walter Payton or Brett Farve

I would say this. Walter Payton is ARGUABLY the best running back of all time. You would get a lot of different answers on that. Probably most have him behind Jim Brown at the very least.
Jerry Rice is the greatest WR of all time and it isn't close. I doubt you could find a credible source that disagrees.
