Just like the Lane Kiffin hire, the response of this board to LSU hiring Will Wade confirms LSU made the right move.
You judge whether LOLSU made a good coaching hire based on the reaction of this board? Are you really that dumb?
Using your reasoning, hiring Brain Kelly was "the right move". The board had about the same reaction to that hire. How did that work out for you?

NC State radio says that Wade didn't even show up for a meeting with their AD yesterday afternoon, and were informed by email Wade was gone this morning.
That is some cold shite

College athletics is a cold business these days.
I don't know why some of you are still stuck on "ethics" and "integrity" with relation to college athletics.

Maybe I'm old fashioned. You make the meetings that you scheduled, and you owe the AD that hired you a chance to counter. Even Kiffin did that much.

Hey, I don't disagree with you however those days are gone, in general

I love this board thinks LSU is broke, LA is a dump, and nobody wants to come here.
Broke? No. It is interesting to look at the budgets though.
For the 2025 fiscal year, LSU generated $223.4 million against a budget of $219.6 million, for a $3.8 million profit. Football was, BY FAR, the major contributor, generating $111.7 million in revenue against a $50.8 million budget for a $66.8 million profit; men's basketball provided the next largest profit of $2.5 million.
It is a gamble for LSU in hiring Wade, but it is a SMART gamble - his salary and the buyouts will eat the profits, but the trade off is getting more fans to games and getting post-season appearances to increase the revenue. Will it be enough?
That margin also doesn't include Kelly's buyout and Kiffin's salary. It also doesn't include the $20.5 million going to revenue sharing for players.
This article from TigerRag does a good job breaking it all down:
LSU Budget Numbers
As for as Louisiana being a dump, I don't think everyone believes that... but generally speaking, Baton Rouge is not looked at particularly favorably (not that Tuscaloosa is "better", per se). It just is what it is.
As far as "nobody wanting to come there", in relation to college kids - you guys are still close(ish) to New Orleans. It's a top 5 party city.

I guarantee some of the Pear's defenders posted messages ripping Bobby Petrino and Arkansas about the way he left the Falcons.

I'm sure some of those criticizing tPear here have been radio silent on their own coaches having similar departures.

Jay Johnson is a good hire Posted by Farmer1906 6/24/21 at 7:51 pm But if I’m making a list of somewhat available & attainable coaches for major programs, I’m not sure he’s in the top 10.
