That’s what I don’t get, tons of work gets done on the golf course.

It does not appear to be a very productive way to improve quarterback play.

Not watching film or meeting with your QB’s and staff or game planning. Freeze thought he could recruit well and just show up and call plays, let the chips fall and that would be good enough. He shoulda stayed at Liberty if he wanted to do that. His golfing was just an indicator of how little his head was in the game. But hey, what does he care?? He got $15M for not paying attention to his job. Must be nice

telling reporters on Sunday that you will evaluate play when you "look at film on Monday" is not a good look. especially after your offense scored 3 points.

What a world.

In some countries they would kill Freeze for that.

Screw that, if I'm at a course, I'm playing.
Does anyone actually think he wasn’t?

Maybe I'm just being crazy but millions do that every year.

Millions go to a golf course and watch others do that for a hobby? Never seen it.

Anyone else think this is not a big deal? Was the guy supposed to not have any free time? Why can't he go watch or play golf instead of going to lunch or dinner at Longhorns

A football coach at an SEC school is coaching 24/7/365.

They live, eat, sleep football.

Golf is time consuming. An SEC coach may play in a handful of scrambles as part of his job. He may get ready for these with a few range sessions.

Hugh literally posted 12, 18 hole rounds in GHIN system in June. I’m retired. I play an enormous amount of golf. An SeC football coach might get 9 in once a week or maybe 18, but golf is an activity that soaks up TIME.

I’ve posted 213 scores in GHIN this year. This includes 9 hole rounds. With scrambles and shambles and other events I probably have played 230 times. I work on putting almost everyday.

I am an addict. Hugh is a golf addict. I knew he was playing and not posting. A man that posts 12 rounds in June probably was at the course almost everyday at the range, putting green, or a causal 9 that he did not post.

An SEC football coach’s hobby has to be football.

That whole story is weird.

What coach, focused on the season, tried to play golf after a home loss to Kentucky

golf that after Auburn told him to stop playing, he'd go to the course and just watch other people play.

First, they took away his hookers. Then, they took away social media so he can't harass sexual assault victims online.

A man's gotta have hobbies....
