I am actually surprised. I thought Tenn and LSU were both higher.

Has any school done less with more than UGA in athletics?

Not a UGA alum.

LSU should look in the mirror sometime.

Yes, Kentucky has to be far more valuable than Vandy.

Vandy has nothing to worry about. Their value comes in being the only private school in the SEC.

4. Kentucky

First SEC commissioner was from UK

In 2025, UK was top 15 in the country in sports value

15. University of Kentucky SEC $910M

UGA was

4. University of Georgia SEC $1.16B

A difference of about 200 between 4 and 15, not exactly a wide moat.

Up vote for the use of the song "How Bizarre". Use to laugh while listening to it when I was a teenager in the 90s.

You're welcome to your opinion but at least Mississippi State is an original founding member of the conference. We all can't be super rich schools like UGA, Alabama, Texas, Florida, ATM and LSU.
As to what we contribute, due to baseball alone we have a good claim to elevating the play of the conference. And excellence in this sport is not some recent phenomenon for us. We've been good in baseball for generations. Just saying.

Well you pretty much have a huge State without a ton of competion. We not only have 3 power schools(Miami, FSU, UF), we are very much a retirement State in quite a few parts...do not think they having kids.

I would say SC and Arkansas are two of the most valuable. Them joining allowed for the SEC Championship game, expanded tv contracts and brought the Nolan Richardson/Rick Pitino classics that drew so many eyeballs. If those two don't move, the conference isn't where it is today.

A great program. Several kids on our 18 and under showcase team ended up playing with State. Coach Polk was always close to our program, so the best ones usually signed with State. Paul Malhom was one. Jon Mungle. I always hope State does well.

What are the metrics? UF has committed to spending $1.45 billion in long term debt. Thats ~$50 million in principle + interest annually. How much additional revenue does $1.45 billion in capital improvements provide? What numbers are you using to determine this list?

Just because Clemson, Tennessee, Florida, Florida St, and Auburn aren’t in the same state as us you think we don’t heavily compete with them for talent? There are several schools that are close enough.

Hard to believe, Mizzou won a co-conference championship in 1969 only 56 years ago
