We also came in at least playing decent football, delivering annual multiple track and field titles to the SEC. More importantly, we had major basketball draw and we had epic games against KY and won a basketball title within 2 years of joining. We owe more on our promise, but we have delivered. As a Kentucky fan pointed out, Arkansas is typically a top 25 revenue producing brand in sports, so we’re worth more than what our crap football record as of late says.

Vandy has nothing to worry about. Their value comes in being the only private school in the SEC.
Dores have the most value
If memory serves, they are the only SEC school on the honor system
Their best school is not law, business, or science, but Education
Dr Dudley (a Kentucky lad) was the person who founded the SIAA, which became the SoCon, which became the SEC. In the early day of sports, they were the king of the hill in the South. With the end of World War II and GI Bill that followed, they were the what the State schools now are.
Utx still does not have a winning record against the Dores in football, mens basketball, or baseball. How many other current or former SEC schools can make this claim?
As the only private school in the SEC, they shield all other public schools in the SEC from FOIA exposure.

You're welcome to your opinion but at least Mississippi State is an original founding member of the conference. We all can't be super rich schools like UGA, Alabama, Texas, Florida, ATM and LSU.
In the early days of the country, the state of Mississippi contained the city with the most millionaires per capita in the entire country. They are also one of the smallest states in the country in population. This is more complicated in supporting 2 Power Conference schools that spilt the pools more than a state like Arkansas or LSU that has the state all to themselves.
You can say State does not belong, but it just means you have never been to Starkville. What they may lack in money and big city action is more than made up in the people. Both the fans and the locals are probably the nicest and best representatives for all other fans to emulate. As an Ag school, they feed you, so the size of their hat is of little importance.

We have a few schools that are competing with us for players, Miami and FSU. UCF and USF and FAU to a much lesser degree.

No the eval is pretty fair. We do not have the whole country like ND(we did prob with Tebow, he was loved or hated pretty much everywhere in the USA, prob the same with Noah..though it was mostly prob hatred). Now..noone gives a shite about UF in other States nationwide. We need a coach like Spurrier who pisses people off now prob.
