Pickens had a 4+ game lead on Cager who went out early in several games.

Georgia's offense also screeched to a halt when Cager wasn't available later on in the year.

Florida: 20 - 30, 279 yards. (Cager had over 100 yards receiving) Pickens had 1 catch for 4 yards. Cager injured here.
Missouri: 13 - 29, 173 yards.
Auburn: 13 - 28, 110 yards.
Texas A&M: 11 - 23, 163 yards.
LSU: 20 - 43, 225 yards.

Until the Baylor game, Pickens had 13 catches in 5 games.

It's not a coincidence.

Ehhhhhh, freak injuries happen

I agree. The issue is Cager had multiple nagging injuries all season.

It's no coincidence that the moment Cager leaves the offense you guys failed to get to 200 yards passing in three of your last six games and failed to get over a 50% completion rate in five out of your last six games.

I agree it wasn’t a coincidence. UGA played the best defenses on their schedule at the end of the year. Pickens was a true freshman who got better the more experience he got. He should’ve started day 1, but Kirby decided to roll with landers and Simmons who are trashcans with stone hands.

The mental gymnastics UF fans go through to make this statement are impressive.

Remember when everyone said Swift was the next Heisman candidate and he would be just like Chubb + Michel?

There was very little drop off. Swift was a badass in 2018.

LSU hit 50 against Texas A&M.
I'll give you Auburn.
Missouri's pass defense was absolute dogshit. Tennessee threw for 400+ yards against Missouri.
Trask threw for 300+ against LSU at night in Death Valley.

Yards per game: 52.9 vs 51.9 cager
Yards per catch: 14.8 vs 14.4 Pickens
Tds catch rate: every 6.1 receptions vs 8.2 Pickens

The mental gymnastics Georgia fans will try to go through to deny this statement are impressive.

Cager, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound graduate transfer from Miami is Georgia’s leading receiver with 33 catches this season for 476 yards.

I mean, DawgNation knows what it's talking about, right?

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound graduate transfer from Miami had become Jake Fromm’s most reliable target this season. Pickens is second to Cager on the team with 32 catches for 457 yards.

With that, I gotta check out. You guys want to bury your heads I won't stop you.

Remember when you did this for 2018? Sure didn’t work out like you had planned.

Are you disagreeing with what I posted? I didn't say a word about winning games or anything else.
For UG fans to try and say that they shouldn't be worried with all the departures or that the roster will be better on offense is just homer-ism to the 10th degree.

I am pointing out the fallacies of your post.

Some programs reload. Uga has proven to be one of those.

Your reloader must have hung up.

Richt was a very overrated recruiter and managed the roster very poorly. That's why he was ultimately fired.

So richt got lazy. We knew that. That’s why we fired him.

2017-2019 would be relevant. Do that.

UF fired a couple for the same reasons.

Losing all but 2 starters on offense. Battle for 2nd in the east with Tenner is something to look forward to.
