Before Deshaun Watson they were a blip on the radar and they extended his era by landing Trevor Lawrence.

Now what looked like a potential dynasty suddenly looks like a crumbling super program now that DJ is proving to be a 5 star bust.

It’s still early, but this has the makings of a 6 year flash in the pan. They are totally inept on offense, and much like with LSU and Joe Burrow, Deshaun and Lawrence aren’t walking through that door.

Looks like this is the end of the ACC. Before it was Clemson and rest - the dainty little sissies of the ACC. Looks like Clemson has now joined the ladies. How fall they have all fallen! Miami, FSU and now Clemson.

Another gauge is the sudden absence of
Dabolian posters on this site.

LSU has owned auburn for years, so not sure why you're dragging us into this non-SEC related rant.

Georgia Tech looked like such an inferior team as well. I don't understand how they kept it close.

GT looked like a D-III team offensively

They looked really bad. And the funny thing is that their fans now think they have “arrived”. Lots of talk about huge improvements and a great future for the program. Preseason their nutty coach had most of them convinced that they were an “elite” team. No difference between them and Bama but a few bad officiating calls.

it's not though, it's common sense that anyone wiht a brain can see.

Their entire existence has been practically nothing outisde of a small blip under danny ford when they were cheating their arse off. After the early 80s they were nothing again all the way up until roughly 10 years ago. People somehow seem to forget that dabo didn't just instantly start winning titles there. It was his 5th season there before he had a year with less than 3 losses. It was his EIGHTH year there before he finished ranked in the top 5. And oh, whaddaya know, it just so happens that at this exact same time period: 1)The ACC was as weak as its ever been in history and 2)clemson happened to recruit 2 generational QBs pretty much back to back.

After watson left and before lawrence people tend to forget they had some other dude in '17. They made the playoffs (due to point #1 above) and got absolutely obliterated by the only legit good team they faced all year in bama. This year is basically the equivalent of that '17 season but probably even worse. Saban and counltess other great coaches have shown they are able to win without a truly elite QB. Hell, saban won the first half of all his titles with honeslty pretty average QB play. Dabo hasn't proven dick other than he's able to win when he has truly measuring stick-breaking good level QBs. He hasn't won anythign in his career without one, and ceratinly hasn't had to do it week in week out like in the SEC.

Clemson’s last 5-year recruiting average is 8th. 16th..6th..10th..3rd..and 5th. Wouldn’t count them out of getting the ship back in course

All teams have these outings, remember a Citadel team that was up 7 on bama at the half.

Sometimes its not the other team, clemson is disfunctional and uga stole their soul.

If it were one or the other they could possibly survive it. It's tough when both are bad. Surely they have another QB they can turn to? DJU looks like he read his press clippings and thought he was great. It's too late to put in the work now, though.

I honestly think this is a lot of it. Much like Alabama did with Miami. Both teams have a lot of talent, but when they got hit in the mouth.....

I have no doubt everyone on their side from team, coaches, to fans were 110% sure they were going to win against Georgia.

What really happened is that teams discovered Clemson was optically and digitally stealing their signals … word got around and everyone changed their systems.
