I really like Virginia Tech to make a run at the title game next year. I think their schedule and a more seasoned Taylor gives them a good shot.

We started and finished the season ranked. If it weren't for our QB going retarded on us, it could have been maybe a little better. When is the last time State was ranked in football?

Good for them.
But you know what's good for us?

We finished ranked 20th, punk bitch.
When was the last time state finished a season ranked?

We've done it three times since the last time you've done it.

Tell your buddies to stick to bragging about things state actually has over us. Like a win this year.

At least you're not dumb enough to post something that would make me want the response

I think out of Oregon and VaTech, one of them makes the NC game. I think we may have another battle of 1-loss teams though, whoever gets there.

Florida will be in the Top 10 by the time the real polls come out next year, IMO.

gators are being sold a bit short if people don't think they will be in contention

they do however have to go to Alabama one week before they host LSU... otherwise their schedule looks pretty doable to me

I know people don't want to hear it but I think Ohio State has a pretty good shot. They return a lot of talent and their tough out of conference game is Miami in Columbus next year. They could easily end up running the table in the Big 10.

Florida returns more talent then people are giving credit for. A lot of people forget the entire 2-deep returned last year, so there is a lot of talent waiting to get their chance.

The offense loses Tebow and Hernandez, maybe the Pounceys, but other than that the people in Gator Country are very excited about the offense. Additionally, the schedule sets up pretty nicely for us.

By the time the coaching situation settles down and we bring in the #1 class, there is no way teams like Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin will be ranked ahead of us.

The day I listen to a word Schlabach says will be the day they put my in a loony bin. There are plenty of teams returning plenty of talent, however, and I think that next season will be a blast. Geaux Tigers!!!

Oregon is too weak. VaTech is always good for at least one ACC 1-loss a year.

1-loss Bama vs. undefeated Ohio State IMO

Hooray, more threads about next year. Less about this one please!

Here are my non-SEC homer thoughts.

1. No issue with Bammer #1. The schedule and improved offense both say "launch when ready."

2. Oregon and Texas are too high. I haven't seen Oregon's schedule but they always seem to throw out a couple of stinkers and pac-10 is just too wild next year. Texas loses a lot on the lines, plus the first year QB. Both are borderline top 10.

3. VT #6. Three things are now sure in this world. Add pre-season Hokie hype to the list.

4. Nebraska will finish higher than 8, and may play for the BCS championship. You heard it here first. Look at the schedule. And the defense will be even better next year. They have the benefit of an extra game than tOSU, who I think will lose somewhere anyway.

The rest of it looks fine. LSU maybe a tad underrated but I have a hunch y'all don't care. Win the SEC and there's a good chance you're in Glendale.

I predict Bama-Nebraska though with the Tide repeating.
