I don’t blame LSU here, they are working to secure their future after hiring a putz.

This is all on Kiffin. He could have left on better terms and without all the hoopla but that’s not his style.

He loves the attention and is gonna burn down Ole Miss on his way out. Will take years to for them to recover from the fallout here.

Next year they prob don’t make a bowl game.

Didn’t lsu make him sign now and wouldn’t allow him to wait until after the playoffs? That is a POS move, but they are rivals, so it is expected.

I have always equally liked both teams but it will be hard to cheer for lsu now.

He begged Ole Miss to allow him to coach through the end.

It’s the same situation as Sumrall.

ESPN went all in on ole Miss being the bad guys. Sorry

If they had kept this swept under the rug until the end of the season like every other coaching change in history then nobody would have a problem with it. It’s quite obvious what happened here.

Kiffin has burned all the goodwill he has created from neutral fans...... this soap opera will be very interesting in the coming seasons.

One thing for sure: This is going to have far reaching negative implications for both him and LSU for a long, long time. I'm not sure those implications have been given any thought in the haste to hire him.

Saban didn't let Kiffin finish when he had another HC job.

That’s the thing. It’s the reactions of the fans that insist there is nothing to criticize or feel bad for the players about.

If you’re happy you have Lane, fine. I sincerely would not, but I see the case.

It’s the complete lack of even awareness that it screws over the kids that created this opportunity for him that is so distasteful.

All LSU can do is offer the man the job... the rest is up to him.
As distasteful as I found the entire situation and as empathetic I am to the Ole Miss fanbase for what is happening to them, this is the truth.

He could have said “No” from the beginning (and I am still in shock that he took the job - I have said from the start he was going to stay in Oxford).

I'm still not accepting that he's accepting the job until I see the press conference. You can search all my CCB comments.

From all the news out of Oxford, it sounds like he was forced out and didn't quit. In fact, he went overboard in trying to finish this post season coaching for Ole Miss.
