We still whip Florida every year in the original site of the Gator Bowl
Posted on 11/7/25 at 8:54 am to BuckI
Agreed but I think the natty should be at a major bowl site with at least 2 weeks off to have time to feel the build. That was what was so great about Bcs

Yes. Death to the bowl "system". 90% of these bowls have no history whatsoever. The original 6 will probably survive. The rest I have no use for.

Comprehension is too. On campus means that all CFP games would be played outside of bowls.
The bowls don't own the stadium? You can paint Orange Bowl on any field.

It appears Mr. BuckI wasn’t happy that you made a comment about “White man bad.” Which could cross into the political/demographic realm

Nope.
I want to know who the best team is in a neutral field. Home field is a massive advantage in college athletics so I do not think it should weigh in on games between two even teams for titles.
If OSU beats Bama by 3 points in Columbus, are they actually better?
I get the first round games but as you get later i want the teams to be on a level playing field as much as possible. It won't always work (like UGA playing in Atlanta or LSU playing in NO), but you minimize it as possible

Let me clear something up here, what I was saying about the bowl system, the big ones.
I call them a bunch of old white guys but that is because those are the only ones I have seen standing around grinning like idiots at the conclusion of said bowls and here is my point.
The teams that play in these games are not the beneficiaries of some huge chunk of money, yes they get paid a fee, something in the 7 digits but after expenses it is not so much.
No, the ones who benefit from the bowl games are a handful of old guys, yes they happen to be white because it is after all an old boys club and what do you have to do to be a member of that? I think we all know.
So no, I was not making a political statement, I was ranting about the state of the bowl system and who it benefits.
I certainly did not mean to trigger any of you snowflakes using the word "white".

It should be avoided at all costs. Just a horrible place. It is a larger version of the shite hole that Birmingham has become.

But I don't care about that. I want the best team on that day winning. A neutral site allows for a better opportunity for that.

Semifinals and finals at most should be neutral site games. Everything before should be on campus.

How did this guy get in? Just admit you're a racist and quit crying about skin color when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Its pretty easy to find pictures of the people running these games and you are wrong on this topic.

OSU fans having to come to a SEC board to talk football is a testament to how much better playing in the SEC is as a conference.

Maybe I am but not overtly, just a product of where and how I was raised.
As for a racist, you take the cake, trotting out a pic to show how unracist you are, see we got us one right here as in some of my best friends are black.
Like I said, I only go by what I have seen and those bowl officials practically have a license to print money.
They INVITE teams to come play and oh yeah, here's a few bucks for your trouble (note: most teams spend more than the bowl payout for the honor of participating).
So if my glib characterization of them causes you to weep and pee your pants, that's on you not me.
