Lets face it, giving CNS a month to prepare for a football game is almost unfair. Also I don't think for a minute this 4 team playoff will stick long before becoming an 8 team system. If you take away the BCS system which gives Saban his best advantage (extra time to prepare), you level the playing field so to speak. Sabans teams are beatable as shown by they have lost at least 1 game a year since 09. I really think they will be a consistent playoff team but I don't think they'll win titles in strings like they are now.

Saban wont be at Bama that long. Face it, the man loves a challenge and winning at Bama just isn't a challenge anymore. Something will come up that he will be interested in.

Bama, LSU, FLA, are built to win playoffs or the BCS format as we have it. Depth of talent is what ultimately wins in college football.
Saban isn't some mystical wizard x and o coach....he's just a relentless obsessive recruiter that stacks his programs and instills a philosophy of winning.

They were just products of the system. They got lucky. Bama will get a wake up call once the playoff system takes effect

By playoffs, don't they just mean a team has to win one extra game to get to national championship? Hardly a true playoff
