Just have a strong sense of smell and you make it sound so appetizing. What's weird is I have no problem dealing with corpses or dissection or the normal smells of that but damn your description really does sound hurl worthy.
It was. That was the only time during my year and half in anatomy lab (one semester grad school, one semester med school student, and 2 semesters as a TA) that I had to use the ole vicks vapor rub on the top lip and wear a mask in class trick.

It's been remodeled since then, to the same standard as every dorm remodeled has been.
It serves as a transition dorm...as each dorm is remodeled, students are shifted to Kirby Smith for as long as the remodeling takes.
So it'll be with us for awhile longer, since we have at least six dorms left to remodel...the horseshoe dorms and the Campus Lake dorms.

Dear god. Tearing down Tut would unleash some truly foul STDs.

Yeah all the older LSU alum I talk to always mention the Pool House when they talk about their best memories form college. I wish I could have experienced the same
You really should petition for a restoration of the pool.
You must have missed the post about how it is getting renovated....

Here is a link to the renovations: HP Long Fieldhouse Planning

Edit: My bad, just realized you meant the actual pool. It's unnecessary now, as we have both indoor and outdoor pools at the UREC. Also building a lazy river as part of the current expansion of same...

Haha. That maze depicting Haley Center is funny. Funnier is all the core classes for freshman is in that building just to haze the freshmen by confusing the hell out of them.
Also, Parker is a joke. I remember all my calculus classes there and no A/C, just open windows half the time.

I've had classes in Haley every semester I've been in Auburn. I still get lost when I'm in an unfamiliar quadrant and I'm a senior. Always have to go find my classes the day before school starts

I had to stop by Hodges today, and I agree that Hodges is a nice library and the exterior doesn't bother me either.
Pic is old, I think it is on UT grad school's site.

In the end, we'll still have Coker to save the life of some poor freshmen making the uphill hike from west campus to central campus..
Ha, I think everyone cut through Coker, especially in August or September. I did have a forensic chemistry class in that building, though. I didn't have any issues with the classrooms - thought they were really pretty nice. But it's not much to look at from the outside.
Then again, the Cooper library isn't much to look at from the outside, either. But that building is perfect just the way it is. Six stories down into the earth makes me feel like some kind of supervillain when I'm trying to research something. I can't tell you how many hours I logged in those private study carrels.

Great thread idea. I bet that pool was a blast back in the day
It was still open through the Mid 90's. I learned how to swim in that pool. There also used to be a bowling alley and pool hall on campus but LSU decided to get rid of it instead of renovating.

There was a picture in the old housing office (where the new Deke house stands) from the architect of Tutwiler. The pic had 4 towers instead of one. Don't know if they actually came anywhere close to be building the other 3 but I'm glad they didn't.

Tut is damn near 50 yrs old. It needs to be leveled and replaced to match the asthetic of the rest of campus that has new buildings and/or major renovations.

People get arrested all the time during football tailgates for going into the field house. I've seen it personally a few times while waiting in line at the port-a-potty.

I'm really hoping this is what finally makes them decide to replace it. It's horrendous. It seems every other ugly arse building has been replaced. Hammond should be next
It's directly across from the most beautiful place in town (College and Allen)
