Ed O is 24-30 as a HC and 8-24 vs the SEC with 3 Losses by 30.

Mississippi State 7-37 2017

Arkansas 8-44 2007

Arkansas 3-38 2006

Les Miles had two 30 point losses in 11 years.

Ed O also has a 12 million buyout

I think it is already the worst "on paper" hire ever no matter how it turns out.

LSU hired a coach who is the worst coach by win percentage in Ole Miss history

I cant think of a hire on paper that was worse

Yeah I'm gonna have to say no on that one. Pretty sure Baylor and Penn State made some bad hires

Orgeron had put up a strong, strong showing two different times after his Ole Miss gig. He looked very good at USC, and looked solid at LSU last year.

Mike DuBose, who had been a career DL coach, with one singular year of being DC looks worse on paper. Mike Shula, who had been a career NFL QB coach, looks worse on paper. Then you've got people like Gene Chizik, who was 5-19 at Iowa St. before being hired by Auburn. John L. Smith at Arkansas. Derek Dooley was hired by UT after going 4-8 at LA Tech.

Lots of teams hire bad coaches, but this buyout will live in infamy.

Mike Price might have been a decent coach. But we'll never know.

The Ed Orgeron hire is absolutely horrendous.

BUT

The University of Tennessee, in a span of about 5 years, hired Lane Kiffin, Derek Dooley, and Butch Jones.

eta: Shortly there after, they pushed out a coach that took them to the sweet sixteen to hire a coach that it was widely known was about to receive a show-cause. A 10-fricking-year show-cause

There seriously needs to be a 30-for-30 of the UT Athletic Department from about 2007-2017

I mean yeah LSU could have done better no doubt. But at least they don't have a "Freeze" on their potential bowl eligibility.

Bill Callahan at Nebraska. Completely destroyed a great football program with the west coast offense and it's never recovered
