Sure you are. You know Burrow, the rent-a-win, is gone next year?

I don't speak for them (or anybody but me) but the committee's behavior is arbitrary to the point of great concern to me. Rankings are supposed to be discovered bottom-up from the results on the field. Instead it looks very much like they built the penultimate rankings top-down from the end result they wanted after next week to create the narratives needed to get to that result.
The committee as it presently exists is a horrible model. There are no hard rules governing their decision-making.

Honestly trying to remember if a team has ever dropped after winning a game by 3 TDs like LSU did after Ole Miss.
We actually stayed in the top spot after the Ole Miss game. We dropped after a 36 point win over Arkansas. Somebody please explain the rationale for that.

Bama should still be top 10 and Michigan for sure should have dropped more than 1 spot. It's a joke.
I've said this in 4 threads and no one has responded. Where would you move Michigan to? They beat the #15 team by 30 at Michigan and beat the #16 on the road.
Do we really think Michigan is worse than Cincy or Memphis or Minnesota?
Bama has no good wins. They have to go off of some metrics in addition to eye test.
The UF/Auburn/PSU/Wisky/Bama/Michigan cluster is just that. A cluster of "like" teams that the committee thinks pretty equally of. Literally it is only those teams in Oregon from 8-14.

It does affect bowl placement. Bama gonna end up in the music city bowl.

I certainly don’t. It’s an hour closer to home than T-town, and tickets are cheaper.

Disrespect to the SEC? Lmao. If y’all boat race your opponents in the bowl games, do you realize that those teams will say it wasn’t fair to get matched up with SEC teams? IOW, people are always going to bitch

this is silly because LSU played texas early in the season and the rankings were not based on games played.
I agree that rankings in the early portion of the season can sometimes miss the mark, but the fact is this: Texas was ranked highly based on who they had returning and the success that was had in the previous season. Either way, Texas, in the eyes of the pollsters, was a top ten team at the time they played LSU. That will not change, regardless of how you try to spin it.
how is a win over texas any better than a win over texas am at htis point.
Easy, Texas was healthy and ranked in the top ten at the time we played them...the Aggies were not.
i think Kansas put like 60 points on Texas in Austin. what's the big deal with beating texas.
Texas in week 2 was a far better team than they were when they played Kansas. They lost a ton of starters on defense to injuries this season.

Everyone open your windows and yell “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore,”

Hey, that sounds like a team I know that still only lost 2 games. Texas sucks.
