there has been recruiting under the table at least as long as I've lived. Auburn is one of the most egregious.

According to the NCAA, the schools with the most number of major infractions cases:

SMU, 10

Arizona State, 9

Oklahoma, 8

Wichita State, 8

Auburn, 7

Florida State, 7

Texas A&M, 7

To the OP: Auburn is last in the SEC right now in terms of football recruiting. This ain't the right tree to bark up...

Lonergan’s pledge moved Alabama up to No. 3 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. The Crimson Tide’s class is currently No. 1 in the SEC.

Classic barner moment. Start a thread about Bama's 18th ranked recruiting class and how it's the sign of some huge decline, then two days later Bama's ranked #3.

Ehh, Auburn is BIG6 SEC and shares a state with Alabama in a year when the State has an over-abundance of talent. Yet with unlimited NIL and a wide open transfer portal they're struggling.

You have no clue what you are talking about as always. Not all NCAA violations are recruiting violations and only one "stared down the barrel of a gun". Read Junction Boys to know how the system worked.

I know Auburn is 14th in recruiting out of 14 SEC teams. Your future sucks.

I mean, your team trails Vanderbilt by 21 spots. For that matter you trail Temple, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, East Carolina, and other directional schools.

Your own administration is killing your own program. You lead the conference in ncaa probations and that's not even your biggest problem.

whew

You place a lot of a teams future in the analysis of a bunch of men who were third string WRs on a small HS teams . Coaching and S&C makes the true difference. How many times did Gus and Freeze defeat Saban with those 3 stars?

Only a handful. Gus beat Saban 3 times. Congrats on the losing record and fired coach idiot.

Freeze beat him twice, so Saban lost 5 times to much inferior talent.

Newsflash: You idiots fired Malzahn and replaced him with Harsin.

Good luck playing in the SEC West with all those 3 stars.

I count 2. Freeze is a p.o.s. but was a good coach. Those 2 games, more than any others, probably changed Alabama's own offense. So in a way we owe Freeze for that.
