I realize now 8-4, 9-3 is normal in SEC

Understand now why Jimbo failed

There will never be CNS .. his circumstances with college football were different

I understand your perspective, and that might be what ultimately happens.

However, I do not agree with the “soft team”.

You don’t go to Atlanta on year 2, beat Georgia in Athens, force the most turnovers of any P-4 school without being a physical football team.

The offense is not given the chance to be physical. The Seahawks went from 28th in the League in rushing to #2 the year after Grubb left.

Imagine if the offense had put together JUST TWO 5-minute drives that ended in scores, and the defense only had to face 8 possessions instead of 12-13…..not to mention the offense not spotting them 9 point.

I would like to see CKD without Grubb before blowing it all up.

Too many good young players, defense does enough to win (especially forcing turnovers and limiting teams to 20 points).

I feel 100% confident that just about ANY P-4 OC could come in here with the talent Bama has on offense and be very successful.

Just give this years team Missouri’s offense and they are 7-0….we have more talent than freaking Mizzou!!!!

People acting like this team is so far off. It's not. We literally lost by a few points to UGA on a controversial play and to Tennessee after the OC did his usual shite the bed he's been doing the last two seasons. This team is an OC away from being a top team.

Grubb is a major issue and is holding this program back like he did Seattle. DeBoer is not perfect, but I still feel he's a good coach with some flaws. The guy has not been coaching at this level for long. As with any profession, there's always room for growth and getting better at your craft. Saban wasn't Saban either early in his career. I'm willing to let him make a change at OC to fix the problem.

Yes, the best way to watch the game (when it’s available) it’s the overhead/all-22 camera shot, and you don’t have to hear the announcers either, so that’s a big plus.

But yes, they only “follow the ball” and you cannot tell what anything else is happening outside of exactly where the ball ends up going.

Bama went straight press-man Cover 0 on 5 snaps defense during the “turnover-fest” by Grubb’s offense to start the game.

They stopped Bishop and forced FG’s

Afraid Bama is headed back to pre-Saban days. Too hard-headed to admit they made a mistake and taking forever to correct it while the program slides backwards. The program had to hit rock bottom before they finally, with a humble heart, went to Saban with an open checkbook and begged him to save the program.

Yeah. We need to fire head coaches every 3 years so we can be the barn.

I got no major problem with Wommack. You have to score at least 20 to expect to win. And Tennessee doesn't even score a TD if our offense had a pulse so that the defense could rest up just a little.

I have no idea how anyone could disagree with you.

The man has made the Playoffs (and advanced both times) in 2 of the past 3 years.

He was a Milroe meltdown in Knoxsville away from making it 3/3.
(Defense forced 3 takeaways in UT territory but were only ahead 7-0 at halftime after completely dominating them for the half).

The program is stable. Not a single player who has transferred out has been worth a shite.

The team isn’t “soft and weak”. If they are then every team in the SEC including Georgia is too.

Just give this talented offense an average OC, and they are 7-0 ranked #1 in the country.

That’s a good example.

Not sure why people believe DeBoer will only hire “buddies”.

Either way, we will find out by the end of February, at the latest, if he’s going to offer Grubb an extension.

Worst case, Byrne would have to step in and prevent it from happening.

His legacy is tied directly to CKD.

IF Grubb is indeed let go, and a very solid hire is made as the new OC, then I believe the vast majority of fans would feel much different about next year and CKD’s future in general.

DeBoer has a simple decision to make...fire one assistant, or get all 13 of them fired.

LINK

Mike Carroll is getting ready to jump ship. 2 of #13, #17 or Dear will be gone in addition to Ced Morgan, who knows what other programs will offer #11 but Alabama won't match it. NOW we've officially hit the decline when the talent walks. Anyways, bring up "since 2024".

Why does Carroll signing a deal mean he’s gone? Plenty of guys transfer without signing with an agency and I’m sure plenty don’t transfer while still having an agent
