Really pulling for WVU today. It's such shite that the right side of hte bracket was a heallacious murder-gauntlet while UNC gets a spring walk in the park on their side. They're going to come into the championship series rested and refreshed. I hope they can at least be pushed a bit and use a bit more arms by losing a game.

OU is going with its 3rd freshman starter who’s thrown 29 innings total. He’s really came on like the other freshman pitchers we have used . Might be the best freshman class as far as pitchers OU has ever had

The REF
@KREFsports
75 years ago today: OU baseball won the 1951 national championship.
The Sooners defeated Tennessee in the championship game, 3-2, to become the first team in CWS history to roll through the double-elimination tournament without a loss.
Head coach Jack Baer said years later: "We just weren't a great team, but everybody worked hard. We had a couple of good hitters and two good pitchers, three really."
Along with the baseball title, OU also won the football and wrestling national championships, giving the Sooners the distinction of being the first school to win three titles in one school year.

Oklahoma going with freshman #3 in this start; second freshman they’ll throw against arguably the best lineup in college baseball (Jackets might have a say)…
Maybe the most incredible storyline I’ve ever seen unfold of a CWS team w pitching
In fact it is. Trips to the national title series on the line

Nick Wesloski has a unique connection to OU.
He and his older brother, Ethan, who is now a linebacker at OSU, played football and baseball against John Mateer.
“That’s the best high school football quarterback I’ve ever seen play the game.”
Nick Wesloski's high school football coach, Daniel Foster: “Nick was resilient. Nothing fazed him... He was just a tough kid. He’d get hit in the pocket, get back up, and complete the ball.
“I know that’s exactly how he’ll be in Omaha.”

Sounds like you're just prepping an excuse for losing the ship.
This happens all the time. Most notably 2023 with LSU/Wake/Tenn/Stanford on 1 side and Florida/Oral Roberts/TCU/Virginia on the other. Great teams don't make excuses.
If Oklahoma beats you tonight, maybe they had the easier path?
