Means he is unsure of himself and his strike zone which also usually means a very thin skinned umpire when someone complains

Wow, ump gave the coach three warnings before enforcing the auto ejection. That coach is an idiot.

But it is a championship game. By the letter of the rule, the umpires were correct but they could have handled 100% better with no ejections. Just absolutely pathetic that they threw out two coaches in the FIRST INNING.
